We've been going to Dr. Melanie Grein in Durham for 13 years after a very bad experience with a local vet. She was recommended by my sister who lived in the area at the time and gave us a second opinion. Have used her ever since.

Tower Street vet clinic I've heard is good, or I always went to Graham Animal Hospital in HIllsburgh!

Looking for a caring, reasonably-priced vet local to Fergus, for annual dog check-up, rabies shot, and seasonal flea-and-tick treatment. Any suggestions appreciated.
Elora Gorge Animal Hospital. They've been amazing with my puppy!

We prefer Wellington Veterinary Services. They are the most wonderful group of people to work with, and bend over backwards to ensure our pets happiness and comfort. They even have a cat room (that is completely dog free at all times, so as to avoid stressing them out). Niro broke his toe last year and with daily splinting and bandage changes, became quite fearful of the vet. They have. Wen incredible at helping him to learn to trust once again. I was worried how neutering him would go, if I had to hand him over, however, they have developed a plan for him, so that I can be there and hold him while they sedate him for the surgery (a shot that will knock him out quite quickly), then they will come in once he's asleep, take him to surgery, and return him to me while asleep, and leave me to wake him alone, so that in his mind, he never left my side. I'm blown away by their thoughtfulness. When we had to put our old pup to sleep last year, they came to the house at no extra charge, and took him away for cremation. They said not to worry about payment until I was ready to come in. I came in three weeks later, and they still told me that I didn't have to, if I wasn't ready. ❤️❤️❤️ My cats got sick last year (a dormant parasite they'd picked up from the breeder) and they called almost daily to find out how the cats were doing during their treatment.
Can anyone recommend a good vet locally? Not Fergus Veterinary Clinic.

https://www.facebook.com/138105752928612Elora Gorge Animal Hospital with Dr. Franchetto is amazing. The nurse and support staff are incredibly passionate about animal care, and their customer service is impeccable. They're also less expensive that others in the area. They rescue animals out of their own budget. (519) 846-8400 It's by the racetrack.
In search of a great vet for our doggy & kitty, does anyone have any suggestions?

We have used Wellington Vet clinic for 12 years now. They have seen our Luther through incredibly difficult moments and just regular old visits with the same grace, love and wonderful service. They are all about the animals and if you ask Luther, he'll tell you they are the best anywhere. He still runs to the door every time.

Is there any veterinarians available today in CW area or do I need to go to Guelph? I have a 15 year old kitty that's not doing well and think it's time.

Wingrove Veterinary Clinic. They were amazing when it was our cat's time, even though she wasn't a client there previously

Perhaps try Vet Dr. Julie Anne Ballinger. She has mobile services (reasonable rates) and will come to your home 519-823-3772. Not certain if she works Sundays. Sorry your kitty is sick.
ISO a vet, we've only been here for 1.5yrs and we need to get our dog in somewhere. Looking for a vet who is VERY good with with an older dog who doesn't like people.
Does anyone know a place that will take our budgie bird for a week or two while we are on vacation? A vet office or similar? Any ideea of the price? Thanks
I know this is a long shot...I wondering if anyone out there knows of Dr. Kate Armstrong, a veterinarian who used to practice out of Arthur vet clinic. I used her as a...

Is this her? http://cvo.org/Find-A-Veterinarian/Veterinarian-Detail.aspx?ItemID=32534 ...and now that I look further, I'm not sure that gives you more info, sorry :(
Lisa D. replied:
She opened the same clinic in Mount Forest. I believe she is up there now. If you call Arthur Vet they will likely tell you where she is. I think she owns both clinics now. The Mount Forest one is on the Main Street just as you come in north of the Tim's on the east side of the road.
I'm looking for a Vet! Recommendations and WHY! Reasonable prices, cleanliness, but most of all I want the best care for our baby!!
Any tips or stories experiences...

Wellington Vet all the way. They take exceptional care of our lovely family members. Call to check up, send sympathy cards during times of loss, and they genuinely care about our pets needs and feelings. They have a cat friendly room that dogs don't have access to, which makes my cats much more calm and relaxed, and bend over backwards to ensure the comfort and security my growing pup needs.
Megan C. replied:
We took our Charlie to Wellington Vet and they were great. He approved which is the most important.
Brianna L. replied:
We really like Dr. Wright. He is very through in his check ups and so knowledgable. The ladies behind the desk are just as wonderful.
Brianna L. replied:
Also about Dr. Wright, he does emergency calls at his clinic so you don't have to drive to the south end of Guelph if your furry one needs attention right away.
Holly D. replied:
Elora Gorge Vet is fantastic! They are very knowledgeable and sensitive to you and your babies. Even when my dog went to OVC they kept in contact with us and with the vet there to ensure things were dealt with.
Michelle H. replied:
Wellington Veterinary Services. I left the Arthur Vet and make the trip to Elora to have my poodle vetted there. We even drive there to pick up her food, flea meds etc. So friendly there and you can tell everyone who works there genuinely loves their job. Joanne Reichertz is top knotch

Wellington Vets are amazing. Other option would be Eldale in Elmira.

After a false start with another clinic we went to Dr Wright. I liked him because he listens to you and takes you seriously. And talks to you like you're intelligent, not an idiot.
Linda B. replied:
Wellington Vet.... Jane Burgess is awesome.

Dr. Wright was amazing with our pets.

I was happy at Wellington Vet
Camiee E. replied:
Dr Wright is literally the best vet I have ever been to, and I've been to a few. We have had many pets over the years that we have been with him, and he is kind, knowledgeable, and his prices are VERY reasonable. He has always listened to and answered every single one of my questions, and I often pelt him with them when something is going on with one of my babies. Even if there is a problem that I'm not sure requires the vet, his staff are more than happy to take my calls and consult with him first, to make sure I don't bring my pets in and spend the money if it's not required! His staff always fuss over our Siamese cats and St Bernard when we are in there, they honestly feel like family! I cannot recommend his veterinary service highly enough!!!
Lissa J. replied:
Dr Wrights veterinary service has been with us through many of our animals. Dr. wright is very to the point, no sugar coating the truth. He is sympathetic though and his staff is always cheerful and kind.

Looking for a pet cremation services locally. Has anyone used one? Does the University have anything in Guelph? Not sure where to ask. Done this before in Toronto...
Granny M. replied:
PInetree Pet Care Centre just south of Fergus on #6 has a pet cemetery - they probably would know where to get this done.
Does anyone know of any vet clinics that would do a payment plan??
Amanda L. replied:
I just had the exact issue my cat ended up needing emergency dental surgery my original vet was insane with the quote $1800 I called around and emailed 17 vet clinics from elora, fergus, elmira, Rockwood and Waterloo no one would take payment plans however the amazing Eldale Vet Clinic in Elmira quoted there high-end as $745 so I booked it and when I picked my cat up they said it wasn't as bad as expected and it came to $560 seriously check them out for a better rate if you can find a payment plan
