Definitely Michelle Big Frog of Flower Mound/Highland Village - fabulous customer service and a pretty quick turnaround
Looking for inexpensive things in the area to do to entertain my mother-in-law who is visiting this week. We are new to Flower Mound ourselves so I’m not super...

Take her outside to sample 2,000 acres of natural beauty at the LLELA Nature Preserve in Lewisville, $5 per car. They also have an 1860's Log Cabin with period quilts on the beds. Stop at the Information Center first.

A short trip to Waxahatchie to eat at the Dove’sNest restaurant and the darling shops there including a quilt store, favoring civil war prints. Quilt Country is amazing and so close!! Old Craft Store also great and right by the famous fried chicken place, a must visit!

Downtown McKinney is a fun area!! And has an amazing tea shop for lunch.
Are there any local fabric stores other than Joanns?
Marlo M. replied:
i did a google search and found Quilt Country in Lewisville. or Hobby lobby!
Natalie H. replied:
Quilt Country has a huge selection of high quality fabric. I like Hobby Lobby as well for fabric (for anything really) but you do have to be careful about some of the quality, same with Wal-Mart (you get what you pay for). There's also another quilt shop in Carrollton near Babe's but I can't remember the name of it.
Jennifer H. replied:
Must Love Fabric is in Grapevine. 722 E. Northwest Hwy., Grapevine
Carol C. replied:
Must Love Fabrics is moving this week down near the Target at 114. Quilt Country has great selection and there are a couple of shops in Denton as well. There is also Quilters Dream on 26 in Colleyville.
