Brian, with DirecTv, we ordered NFL Sunday Ticket for Glenn. Do you know if that is something I can get on NetFlix? May be a stupid question, but I truly don't know.

No you can't get that on NetFlix. Stick with Verizon they're the best quality in the area. NFL Sunday ticket allows dad to watch all of the games, not just the ones our channels pick up.

We can't brag about our service with Time Warner over the years, we have the "bundle " with them. But, as soon as we called to terminate service because we were going with ATT Uverse, they lowered our rate, permanently. We don't miss the high-end premium-movie channels because we never subscribed to any...we seem to get plenty without the fluff. So, threaten to go with someone else and see if Verizon bends.

Yeah, Libby and Claudia, none of those tactics worked. Maybe because we can't get AT&T U-Verse or Time Warner, so our choices are limited. We dropped Verizon cable 2 years ago when they wouldn't offer a product as good as DirecTv and were charging more. So here we are, contacting them to give them an opportunity to give us an attractive package/price so we could bundle with them again, and they are still not budging. I pointed out to them that the prices they are currently quoting in a bundle to us would result in us giving up channels and paying more money. So, now we are unbundled, which is why I went with Vonage for home phone. Family wanted to drop a home phone, but at only $10 a month I want to keep it. At school my phone very often doesn't ring at all. When I leave the building I find out I have had calls. Anyway, now cable and phone are covered, we simply need internet.

We had Verizon and when it switched to Frontier, it was horrible (as many have experienced). We had the 50/50 plan plus Fios TV and the bill was running upwards of $100. We just moved and cut the cord with Frontier. We got the 100/100 plan from Time Warner for $45/month and subscribed to Hulu Plus to watch all of our shows. We will probably also get a digital antenna for local channels and sports - or Sling is an option as well... https://www.sling.com/

We have Verizon FIOS too, we don't have a bundle. I agree Verizon is the best and has the best and most reliable speeds. We used Time Warner in the past but I would not recommend it.

Since Frontier took over from Verizon it has been a nightmare and headache. I have spent more time on the phone with Customer Service all to no avail. I finally shut off the cable and just have internet with them until I can find a different alternative.
