Please call the St Alexius Hospital's Center for Pediatric Brain in Hoffman estates. They were my final hope and diagnosed my daughter properly after Mayo Clinic and 3 other neurologists couldn't, including Coker, who I was sorely disappointed with. http://www.alexianbrothershealth.org/services/pediatric/our-services/pediatricneurology/abdul-mazin/

Look into Rush Copley
Alexandra W. replied:
Recently just saw dr Wright at rush. I had a 3 month wait. I had a bad experience but I am an extremely rare case and I've been to many many specialist also diamond headache Clinic and still haven't gotten any answers. But I got referred to rush and specifically to that doctor and I know he is really good at what he does. I think it was just my case honestly. He sat there and listened fully to my history and asked questions that many doctors haven't asked me in the past that were interesting but I understood how they would help him get to understand my migraines better. I would look into him. Dr Santwani at Delnor referred me.

I just spent 4 days in hospital with excruciating pain from migraines. I'm on muscle relaxers and seeing Dr. Glessenger in St Charles... he's a chiropractor but he hasn't given me an adjustment yet cause I'm that bad. They massaged the area and put electrical pads on certain spots and I'm finally getting real relief. It's so awful, I hope you can find some relief
Kristine M. replied:
Chiropractic care is a great place to start especially if you don't want to take medicine. A lot of people like to start there before thinking of surgery too. I had migraines as a kid growing up and my primary doctor just put me on medicine that made it worse. Within the past three years, headaches were at their worst and I finally saw a chiro that helped get them under control as I had a headache a day. Good luck with everything:)

I'd really suggest a call to Dr Frim in the city. He's a ped neuro and he specializes in chiari which might not be the cause but having it checked would be in her best interest. I've been through all of this since I was in HS and at 33 yrs old finally got diagnosed and he finally took me seriously. I hate to say it but out here nobody thought I was serious about the pain and symptoms...when it was discovered my neuro out here (after a year) told me that there was nothing he could do
