Both my husband and I have used Sears optical for years now with no complaints. We just use our insurance to get our one free eye exam per year, then have them give us our prescription for glasses, and go to zenni.com and get glasses on that site for CHEAP!
Mary D. replied:
I think Fox Valley Opthamoloogy is best. These are not opticians, but REAL doctors. When you get older you need one who knows the problems which occur when one gets older.

We started out at the Geneva Eye Clinic, but ended up getting referred out to Dr. James Mcdonnell at Loyola. He is the BEST! My daughter was born with a cataract and an eye that was half the size of the other with a non-functioning pupil. He has helped her to achieve 20/20 vision which is unheard of in a case like hers. We have been with him for 16 years, since my daughter was three weeks old. Definitely worth the drive.
Brannon A. replied:
We also adore Dr. King. Absolutely the best with children! He preformed surgery on my daughter and was amazing to work with.
Jocelyn K. replied:
Michael Kipp at Wheaton Eye Clinic. We've used him for 12 years

Family Eyecare in Geneva for Optometrist - and Zennioptical.com for frames. It is amazing. Just get your Rx and PD (Pupillary distance) - I had them measure mine at the optometrist so it would be accurate- and you are good to go!

Dr. Becker at Geneva Eye Clinic is phenomenal. I’ve seldom had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time. I’ve been seeing him for years now. He recently recognized something that is too often misdiagnosed as a ocular headache. My cardiologist said he most likely prevented me from having a stroke. He’s a keeper!

I just came from Geneva Eye Clinic. Nice doctor, forgot her name. My mother in law was a patient of Dr.Becker there, he was very kind to her as she was very anxious in her later years. He would call her at home after her bigger appointments to check on her. When she was 88, he suggested she have her cataracts removed. She looked at me on the way home from her check up after the procedure and said " the green grass is so beautiful"
Maggi B. replied:
Dr. Foody at the Aurora Eye Clinic across from Mercy is a very patient and good opthamologist.
