Depending on your location Dr.Laura Winsor (the one who made the info above) sees patients at Low Vision Center in Fort Wayne IN. It may be worth the drive she is always willing to train you on ways to work with your child AND she always offers to talk with my son's team during IEP meetings, teachers when they have questions, etc.

We also see Dr. Laura Windsor in FW, IN. My daughter has right sided too. We've always worked heavily with tracking and she has made great progress. We had the OTs working specifically on vision to help with this. I know Dr. Laura Windsor will write a RX for that as well.

Tracey, he is extremely helpful! he gives me exercises to do at home and that combined with botox and physical therapy has done me wonders. Dr. Padula was the first one to put the neurological aspect together with the vision therapy. I have been told he is the only person who has done this. The only place I went when I lived in Indy was Ossip. They were covered by my insurance, and I only needed reading glasses one time. My husband also went there, and he wears glasses, but not contacts. Our insurance paid for one visit per year, plus up to $80 toward prescriptions/frames. I liked the doctors at Ossip - I went to the one on 64 th/Broad Ripple Ave - and they gave me the retinal scan thingie in lieu of dilating my pupils, which cost me $25 out of pocket. I'm sure there are better ones around there. I had United Healthcare at once point and Anthem at another, I believe.

I don't know what insurance they take but a phone call never hurts. They have really quirky, fun glasses, but the selection is not huge. But I prefer a good opthamologist over huge eyewear selection! I also am unsure about contact pricing. Good luck.

I recently switched from Visionquest (the office in greenwood, not the east side location) to Best In Sight at Arlington and Thompson. They have saturday hours once a month. Decent selection of frames at various price points. Staff was friendly.

Yes, I was also going to recommend fatheads at Walmart. Those are more oriented toward Walmart’s customers, many of whom are just obese. Even better, are the online merchants like [https://www.eyebuydirect.com/](https://www.eyebuydirect.com/) and [https://www.goggles4u.com](https://www.goggles4u.com). They both have lots of wide frames, with long ear supports. You can set the search filters to only show you the biggest frames. The optometrists hate them, because they are so much cheaper and are cutting into their business. But, I have little sympathy for them — because they almost never have more than two clunky frames that fit *my* giant head. Your optometrist, by law, *must* give you the written prescription of your lenses if you ask for it. Many of them still try some BS to talk you out of it. You paid for it and they don’t carry anything that fits your head ! Be careful, because there are several sneaky tricks that optometrists play to try to confuse you and stop you from ordering your glasses online for one-tenth the price. First, the prescriptions are very cryptic and even use Latin abbreviations for left and right ! The online websites have instructions that help you with all that. Second, the prescriptions are for the lenses only, not the frames. To put the lenses in frames, the eyeglass makers need to know the spacing of your pupils, called PD for pupillary distance — which is measured in millimeters. Optometrists like to leave this number off your written prescription — just to make it harder for you to get glasses online. I’m not sure what “eye size” refers to, but I think you mean pupillary distance. You say 68mm. Mine is 72mm (I make little children stop crying and laugh with my “goo goo eyes”). The range of PD on eyebuydirect is 46mm to 80mm. Some people have bent or broken noses. They can get two PD numbers — the distances each pupil from their off-center nose. Once you get the written lense prescription *and* the PD from the optometrist, the online websites make it very easy to enter the numbers correctly. Another tip — browse the website, “subscribe” with your email address for their “deals”. Then enter your prescription and leave your glasses in your online “cart”. In a few days, they’ll send you an offer with an unbelievably good deal ;)

Not a tall person; just did a bit of research. You don't mention how price-sensitive your choice is. If it's not *too* constrained, given your unusual measurements you should consider custom options. There might be similar companies -- I stopped looking at the first one I found.
