Do you have any spay/neuter clinics coming up in Crawford County? Do any of your vets do it cheaper for low income families? my stepson and wife, both special needs/...
Tanya T. replied:
Pregnant females can be spayed. Let us get the vouchers to you and get her to the vet right away. Did you call and request vouchers yet? If not you can either 1) call 812-969-2615 snap hotline 2)email RiverValleyHumaneSociety@gmail.com 3)post a message on our Facebook page River Valley Humane Society. Did you say you took the two male cats to a shelter? Information needed to send vouchers 1)name; 2)address; 3)phone number; 4)dog or cat; 5)male or female; 6)total number of animals to be spayed neutered. Tanya Tuell
Tanya T. replied:
There are two options: 1) Crawford County now has its own county Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP). Vouchers are available toward the cost of the surgery $20 for cats $35 for dogs. River Valley Humane Society volunteers coordinate the program and send vouchers to pet owners. Go to our Facebook page for more info: River Valley Humane Society. There is also a small poster there that can be printed out which includes affordable spay neuter prices. With a voucher female cats start at $25 and male cats $15. 2) SNSI, a volunteer org., offers spays neuters for $20 for those who meet income guidelines. You can visit their website at www.getthemspayed.org or call (317) 767-7771. Regarding your stepson's situation the quickest way would be to get two vouchers. Their final cost would be $50 for both cats including rabies shots. You should be able to get them spayed within a week. If that will work for you please call 812-969-2615 and we will send the vouchers. If this won't work then please call my cell 502-396-0660 as soon as possible which will be the quickest way to work out a plan. We will definitely find an affordable option that works for them. Lets make sure we prevent those cats from reproducing. Thank you for helping get their cats spayed neutered. Tanya Tuell, River Valley Humane Society

That organization is Spay Neuter Services of Indiana so you can search it that way. Tanya Tuell
I'm not sure what the procedure is for posting on this page but we found a stray cat who was in bad shape on Monday and brought him to FACE to get vaccinated/neutered...
Anje T. replied:
He's lethargic and quiet and depressed because he's sick. He probably needs to be on a course of antibiotics for any secondary infection and just needs time to heal, as well as as much time as you can spare to be with him. Good luck with finding him a home but moving him now would stress him out even more, poor guy. Won't Face treat him tomorrow? One thing you can do to help him fight the infection is to give him the Liver Formula for sick cats that we use for kittens as young as newborns. It's an incredible tonic and has turned our tiny kittens around many times. https://www.facebook.com/notes/bitten-by-a-kitten-rescue/the-liver-shake-for-sick-cats-and-kittens/551251278229601

Did you post him on indylostpetalert.com and look for his owner? Thanks for taking him in.
Do you have any other spay clinics in Southern Indiana that do this for $20?
Korin M. replied:
It might not be $20, because the specials change constantly, but SPOT is in southern Indiana http://facespayneuter.org/indyferal/community-cat/tnr-trap-neuter-return/get-tnr-help/
I am going to get lasic surgery this year and I am starting to do research on clinics. Does anyone have recommendations for the best place in Indy for Lasik?
Jay R. replied:
I had surface ablation at Indiana Eye Clinic on Emerson near Main in Greenwood a few years ago. Very satisfied.
Heather K. replied:
Justin and I both went to TLC and had Dr. Lombardo. I had LASIK and he had PRK. Highly recommend.
Jessica D. replied:
Dr. Price, Price Vision Group. Hes having a lasik open house this Thursday at 6 pm to watch live lasik and a q&a.
Alyssa P. replied:
Price Vision Group...seconded.
John C. replied:
Suzan Cannon got hers done at LASIK Plus at Keystone Crossing.
Dick D. replied:
I would pass on the "Lasik Self-Surgery for Dummies" too.
