I went to Dr. Ellis when I had vertigo. He had me lay down. He turned my head different ways and used a viberator on my head. This gets all the particles, like a snow globe, down where the belong. I have been fine since. His number is 478-4200. LSMO. I know how bad this can be . Good luck.

I've been to the Rowe Neurology Institute. I don't remember the doctor's name, but all of the staff were GREAT! Krishna Schmidt at Dermatology Specialists of KC is awesome too. Very friend, knowledgeable, and comforting.

Erin is in remission for trigeminal neuralgia. Her drs. are not north of the river. Her surgeon was Dr. Basta. Was wonderful. Her pain management dr. was good. I will send you that information tomorrow. His name is not one that is easy to pronounce.

I have always LOVED Rowe Neurology Institute (913) 894-1500 they're at 8550 Marshall Drive in Lenexa and they have offices here in Creekwood that they are at one Tuesday a month. You'll want an appt with Doug Schell (ARNP MS specialist and Dr, Vernon Rowe) =)

Meritas Neurology at NKCH. My mom and I both se Dr. Hon. She is phenomenal. KU didn't impress me, but its been over 12 years since I went there.

I highly recommend Dr Davaluri, he is in Saint Joseph but I worked for him and I was a patient. He is the best! He goes to other offices too.

I believe my mil sees Dr. Davaluri. Don't know if he is good or bad but she has been going to heartland for years.

They haven't done an eeg on him to determine the base of the problem? You can always ask for a 2 nd opinion. Dr Shah was ok, but ask to be seen in KC at children's mercy. They have the best specialist hands down. I transferred all my sons care to there. If you have a medical card they provide the transportation to the hospital. Is he having grand mal seizures? Or do they know what type?

Request it from Dr. Shah, let him know u would like a 2 nd opinion. You can even call the children's mercy clinic, and ask them what all would they need from your doctor so you are able to come to their clinic and get a 2 nd opinion about your sons condition and the care plan that is in place

Sort of depends on their sub-specialty in my experience. I have had 5 neurologists for different needs. In general, though, if you can see Dr. Camarata at KU Med, I think you'll like him. He was my co-brain surgeon in 1999.

Dr. Gordon Kelly is also good, and Dr. Lehman, who saw me as an inpatient at Menorah. Can't remember his first name. He may be retired by now, but he has a kindly demeanor. I also have an otoneurologist and a neuro-opthalmologist (sic), if you have an ear-brain or eye-brain problem.

I did see Dr. Kelly for neuropathy in my feet. The pins and needles and sometimes burning feeling. He ran all the appropriate tests, etc. It's not one side of your body, is it?

That always seems good if it's not on one side. From my assemblage of neurologists, I would rec Dr. Camarata first and Dr. Kelly second.

Dr. Malik in Liberty. He is located close to Liberty Hospital. That is who I go to and I love him!!

Hollinbeck is awesome. I used Dr. Sachen and the reason I changed to Malik was because Sachen retired and they quit taking my insurance. Can't wrong in this office in my opinon

I can give you the name of the neurologist/neurosurgeon that did my back surgery. He's tops in his field and has patients come from out of the country to see him. Dr Frank Holliday. He would be a drive for you as he is located at the Legends (on 110 th Street). I got the referral from GEHA as my second opinion-sure glad I didn't stay with my first one!!!

Dr. Miran Salgado at NY Methodist Hospital. He has two offices, one in Park Slope and one in Staten Island. He diagnosed me with 10 minutes of our initial consultation. He is chief of neurology so there are many doctors that work under him that are willing to take care of his patients. He is very intelligent and resourceful. He includes his patients in their treatment options and makes informed decisions with evidence from studies found in recent medical journals. This doctor saved my life.
