My girl got hit by a car and I'm looking for a veterinarian that does 'plating' in the Kansas area. Could also be an orthopedic surgeon. Thanks in advance!

Mark Rasmussen at Shawnee Mission is the supposed guru of shoulders. His brother, TJ, is the guru of knees and Scott Cook, the guru of hips. They have an awesome facility out on College Blvd near State Line. You can get on the Shawnee Mission website to get their number. Love those guys.

We need a recommendation for a good orthopedist? Do you know anybody in the area?
Jamie G. replied:
Dr Gondring. He's in St. Joe. He's the guy who diagnosed my bone tumor after 6 orthos in kc didn't take me seriously. He's a little odd but a great dr.
Mary M. replied:
Brett Miller is ok as a dr. If you have abreak and have a question or pain, you really need to get his attention for him to take you seriously. My elbow broke. He had a nurse put the cast on. It hurt continuously and put blisters on my hand. I called several times. Went back to see him and he had the same nurse cut away part of the cast to ease the blisters. He did not take me seriously about the serious pain in my arm. I gave up and tolerated misery for 6 weeks. I had to see my St Luke Dr for arthritis right after cast was removed. She said she could tell immediately it was cast wrong and hurt because of the twist my arm was held in place all that time.
