Do any of my new Dandridge friends have suggestions for doctors. Jim and I need to find a good family Dr., dermatologist who does MOHS surgery, gastroenterologist , eyed...
Bev D. replied:
Jefferson Family Physicans (Regina Fields) for family, dermatologist - Fulk's office in Jeff City... Brimhall, if eye for just check up then Barnes, if more than that then Knoxville Eye Surgeons. Don't know about the others.
Kristel H. replied:
Ward Phillips at Phillips Medical Group in Talbott for family practice. I like his office because there are two sick clinics each day if you need to be seen immediately. Knoxville Orthopedic Center has an office at the hospital in Jeff City; we used them with at least three broken bones (good times).
Bev D. replied:
My husband uses Bodenheimer... right across the street from the old Baptist Hospital... 865-579-3963 Eye surgeon
Bev D. replied:
Our granddaughter was just treated at Tenn Orthopedic in Knoxville for soccer injury... they were pretty pleased. KOC is good as well, they took care of my Mom.
Chris H. replied:
In addition to our doctor that Kristel mentioned, Mom and Dad just had to find new doctors since they also just moved here. They go to summit medical group over at Jeff memorial to see Buck Allum. Clyde Worley from FBC is a dr with that same group.

I was wondering if you ladies could recommend a GREAT pediatric gastroenterologist in the area? THANK YOU!
Bethany H. replied:
Can't say enough about Dr. Strobel. We can always get in within 1-2 days if needed. The nurses are wonderful and return calls within a few hours. They don't 'force' an office visit like a lot of Ped offices and are happy to trouble-shoot on the phone. We like the intimacy of a small practice. He brought the field of pediatric GI to this region, so you can bet he's seen it all. He clearly loves children and offers to take our baby home every visit to 'give us a break!' Our issues have been colitis d/t protein intolerance, grain intolerance, and GERD. We also recommend Andrew Singer for allergy/immunology. Hope this helps!
Benay W. replied:
We see Dr. David DaVoid@GI for kids, he's newer to the group. My older son has a feeding tube ( for 2 1/2 yrs now-put in by Dr. Carlos Angel) and my younger son had a pretty bad milk allergy he outgrew. We saw Tammy, but when we my 2 nd son we combined both boys to 1 doctor. We love him! He is great at taking time to answer all my questions and not making me feel rushed or have to wait forever to be seen.
Anna R. replied:
My son saw Dr. Strobel at Children's and he is fantastic with kids!

We also go to GI for Kids. Tammy is the PA for Dr. Al-Tawil, and he is AWESOME! He's the one who finally got the diagnosis for our son's issues in 2013.
Lindsay C. replied:
My daughter sees Dr. Al-Tawil as well at GI for Kids. He's wonderful!!
