I was so upset when we moved b/c I had to find a new pediatrician. We loved Shults Pediatrics! It's dr. Shults and she had 2 nurse practitioners (that was 2 yrs ago...not sure who's there now). We loved them and the office staff was great! Not sure what all ins plans they accept but it would be worth a call. Good luck!

Syed Akhter, MD. He maintains 2 locations for Pediatric Consultants. 865-582-3100, UT Medical Center Building A in the mornings. In the evenings, he goes to 9333 Parkwest Blvd, Cedar Bluff Medical Arts Building, Suite 108, 865-560-8778. I prefer the evening location for better parking access. If you visit him, please tell him I recommended him.

Dr Shults. LOVE her. Not sure about what insurances she accepts. We've been there since Madelyn was born and they know her.

We loved Childrens Faith but they no longer accept CoverKids. I was so disappointed. Thanks!

Maybe try Psycho-Educational Network. . . . but I am not sure if they have a psychiatrist. http://www.psychoeducationalnetwork.com/ says they do "Anxiety Management" . . . but none of the 'practitioners' seem to be psychiatrists.

Carol Preston in Fountain City is awesome. She's actually a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner but prescribes meds etc. She works with people who don't have insurance and is linked to programs where you can get free or hugely discounted meds if needed. Highly recommend! http://www.carolpreston.com/

I don't know one personally, but you should go to this website -> [Psychology Today](http://psychiatrists.psychologytoday.com/rms/?utm_source=PT_Psych_Today&utm_medium=House_Link&utm_campaign=PT_TopNav_Find_Psychiatrist). You can search by insurance, what they specialize in, and you can read a little blurb about themselves to help you make a decision that best fit your needs. Good luck!!

Please help! Can anyone recommend a psychiatrist? My brother has moved here and has run out of his medicine. He’s becoming more and more nonfunctional.
JustCallMeSteven replied:
How old is your brother? Psychiatrists in Chattanooga are saturated. If he's under 21, Erlanger downtown has a children's behavioral health practice with a lot of availability (not the best-but you can get in quickly.) Otherwise, I would see my GP to get him on a medication regime and combine that with some type of regular therapy.
