I handle health and Medicare insurance in our area. First of all, welcome to MJ! I can tell you that a few of the more popular and loved PCPs in the area are Dr. Lagueux and Pare at West Wilson Family Practice (my dr for 30 years is Lagueux and I absolutely love her...she is female and Pare is male). They also have a couple of very good nurse practitioners. Also, I've never met her but I have MANY clients who love Dr. Katherine W Jones as well. As far as OB/GYN, mine is Dr. Nylander downtown and I have been through a couple at Summit and got many referrals from trusted ladies before I changed to Dr. Nylander. She is worth the drive, big time. I would also suggest Dr. Jabush (sp?) but I heard she is about to retire. If you PM me, I can definitely tell you a couple to stay away from! The most popular women's care I believe is at Centennial Women's hospital and those docs are awesome. Dentists are everywhere and you'll have many recommendations. Personally I use Dr. Derrick Thompson at Paddock Place Dental and he is very good but I chose him primarily because he is from my very small hometown in KY. This is really sad to hear because those ladies that use to be there were on top of it. I do know Jane that was there, you can see her at Urgent MD as long as you dont mind driving to hermitage. Its primary and urgent care both!

I was pleasantly surprised with Neighborhood Health across from Cash Savers. Danielle Stamps, NP is excellent. I had blood work and wellness exam completed, and she called me back herself to provide the results. She explains everything completely. I do not have insurance and was very happy with their charges. I was very nervous going in not knowing what to think. They are great!!

Dr. Gallant is really good. He's very nice, and when I ended up in the ER, he spent like an hour with me the next day at the follow up trying to get everything figured out and what to do next. I've always gotten very good care there. They are really good about getting you in at your actual appointment time. They send all of my prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy. My maintenance drugs, after I got established on them, he sends in a year's worth of 90 day prescriptions.

Dr. Kane! He has great personality and his staff is all friendly.

I use Family Medical Associates, and so far I've seen three different doctors (my request) and I like Dr. Sam Crutcher the best. He explains everything really well and answers all my questions. Plus, I never have to wait long with him. They call me right in and he's in the room shortly after!

I am too lazy to read through 82 comments, LOL, so I will just tell you that Family Medical Associates is a great place to go, for one simple reason. They have multiple doctors, multiple nurse practitioners, and multiple physician’s assistants. I just walk in and say I need to see somebody (Oh yeah, they have walk-in available). I’ve never had a bad experience yet. I do have a primary care doctor there, I think I’ve seen him once LOL! I always see the PAs or the NPs, they are the best!

I love her too. That is where I have went for years but here lately I go in and see a NP. Sadly I had an issue with my leg and she wanted to medicate me. I wanted to find out what is wrong because I don't want to be on drugs to mask an issue.:(. I had asked for a MRI and the NP sent me for an ultrasound (standard procedure). I got that done and she called so happily and told me nothing was found. Lol. I was like we knew this was going to be the outcome and discussed it prior to the procedure. Now can I get an mri or referral to an orthopedic? She said yes and I never heard another word. Maybe I should just schedule with Dr. Jones from now on. I just want to feel cared about when I am dealing with a medical issue. I'm not usually one to complain but it really upset me.
