Hi. I am a breast cancer survivor, and have been a patient of Tennessee Oncology at Summit since the beginning ( 7 years). My doctor was Dr. Eric Raefsky, who was murdered in a car accident about 3 years ago. He was the best, but since I have seen the other doctors, and I would recommend any....

Dr Hemphill is amazing. He successfully treated my mom for colon cancer. She had come in for her yearly follow up and had remained cancer free. Sadly she died a few days after he saw her last. When his office called to tell me her labs were great, I had to tell them that she had died. Dr. Hemphill called me to express his sympathy and to tell me how much he enjoyed having my mom as his patient. She loved that he took the time to talk with her and she loved making him laugh and hugging him to "making all the other girls jealous." My sweet mom was 92 and 10 days old when she went to heaven. I believe Dr. Hemphill was a big part of why she was here for as long as she was.

My mom sees Dr Amin at Summit. We love him. He really takes his time with her and always answers her questions.
Has anyone used Dr. Peyton as an oncologist ?? If so, good or bad ?????
David-Melani S. replied:
I retired from TN Oncology. People from all over the world came in just to be treated by a handful of their Dr's. Dr. Peyton is one of the Dr's they would ask for.
Recommendation for a good oncologist. Looking to get a second opinion, currently going to Tennessee oncology in summit.

My dad's oncologist was at Summit. His name was Dr Toomey. He was my dad's doctor until my dad passed 6 years ago . Not sure if Dr Toomey is still there or not but he was able to extend my dad's life for many many years. (After other doctors didn't have much hope) Sending many prayers and well wishes your way. Good luck
