Hi everyone :)! Does anyone have an endocrinologist they recommend? We have lived here for two years and my endo just moved home to India. I have been a type one...

Dr. Haque was awesome with me!
Linda V. replied:
Dr. Haque diagnosed my cushings disease after I had been trying to find out what was wrong with me for 6 years! He's great.
Janice F. replied:
One more vote for Dr. Haque!!
Mark B. replied:
I use Dr Haque
Jody S. replied:
Giggle so would Dr. Haque be hard to get into:)???? Seems to be a very popular choice:)! Thanks everyone!
Jody S. replied:
I had seen a lot of bad reviews on Healthgrades on Dr. Haque so its nice to see so many people on here giving good reviews. Its always hard to tell based off of online things...you never know what made someone write the review they did...if that makes any since....
Kelly C. replied:
Dr. Prost - (817) 410-9993. I just asked the same question - and he was highly recommended.
Kelly C. replied:
I can't talk from personal experience because I have never seen Dr. Hague. But my friends that have seen both doctors have preferred Dr. Prost. But again, I only know Dr. Prost. Worth a try to see Dr. Hague. You can always switch if it's not a good match!
Jane A. replied:
Hi Jody Davis Stafne - I am a Type I also and go to Dr. Wasim Haque right by FMPD. Office staff often haphazard but he's sharp.
Linda V. replied:
Dr. Haque seems cold at first but he knows his stuff. I went in with a list of questions prior to surgery and all through my disease and tumor he was just awesome and very considerate.
Lisa S. replied:
I love Stephanie Addington in Irving. But she takes a long time to get in with. I think she is worth the wait though.

Looking for endocrinologist recommendations. Needing a doctor who will run more than just TSH levels for thyroid disorders.
Karla R. replied:
Dr Henry Prost in Grapevine
Brian-Suzanne R. replied:
Dr Launius in Lewisville. He doesn't take insurance, but your lab can be ran through it. I have been to about 12 Endocrinologist. I even traveled out of state for some. He is the first doctor that has ever listened to how I feel and knows which labs are actually important in treating.
Liz F. replied:
I have been struggling for almost a yr for someone to believe me about my thyroid being off although my TSH was "normal". Dr Haq, highly recommended on this site, wouldn't see me if I hadn't been diagnosed and my GP wouldn't diagnose me. I went around and around until I found Dr Lida Aghdam(817-488-7878) in Colleyville. She is an MD with a undergrad in Bio Chem and specializes in female hormones including thyroid issues. She does bio-identical too. So happy to finally have someone listen!!!!
Sarah W. replied:
Justin Family Medical in Justin. Not Prost in GV...very nice and always on time but ultra conservative in his approach. I prefer to be above the mid point of thyroid function but he does not and kept me too low. He also insists on brand name whereas generic is available and works well. IFrustrating six years for me. PM me if you would like to discuss.
Susan J. replied:
Dr. Roopa & Dr. Prost
Debbie F. replied:
I would highly recommend Dr. Prost in Grapevine/Colleyville.
Recommendations for an endocrinologist (thyroid/Hashi's, not diabetes). Willing to travel!
Christine E. replied:
My husband has hashimotos disease and had thyroid cancer. He has been very happy http://www.dfwendocrinology.com/ with Dr tondapu.
Kimberly S. replied:
I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Aronoff in Richardson. I'm scheduled to go see him next month.
Jim S. replied:
Shelby Holt UTSW
Vanessa S. replied:
I also like Dr Tondapu. She is very thorough and really listens. If you read her reviews some people said she doesn't communicate but I never saw or felt that way. She has always been extremely open and caring with my care and worked well with my other doctors on a plan to get me back to my normal. (I had pregnancy induced Grave's) and she was about working with me for a plan that worked for me.
Do you have an Endocrinologist that you trust and would recommend? Thank you!
Susy D. replied:
For adults? It was a bit of a drive as he is in the new medical office building at Baylor Scott white in Dallas but I saw Dr Brian Welch and he was FANTASTIC. I've seen a lot of endocrinologists over the years (one adrenal tumor followed by adrenalectomy, then adrenal hemmorage on the remaining one. Then 2 more tumors on the remaining one. Then Addison's disease.) he's the best I have dealt with by a long way. UTSW trained which in itself is what led me to him but the whole experience was fantastic. http://www.endocrinologydallas.com/Pages/DocView.aspx?ProvID=10712

Dr Brian Welch He is in dallas but I would drive 150 miles to see him. I can dm you his number if you would like
Looking for recommendations on a pediatric endocrinologist. Thanks!
Anna W. replied:
Dr. Ellen Sher is who we went to with JD for a few years. Not only did our pediatrician recommend her but a friend who worked at Medical City did, too. #972-566-8833.
Looking for good local Endocrinologist. I’ve been trying to schedule with Dr. Wasim for a week now and their office can’t seem to get it together.
Jane R. replied:
Linsey, this is just the beginning of what you'll experience with that office. I would recommend Dr. Henry Prost in Colleyville. It's a quick drive from Flower Mound, just on the other side of Grapevine, and I think they do a good job. http://www.etcdocs.com/ Whoever you choose ... best of luck to you. Doctor shopping is the pits!!

Dr. Tondapu was my endo, but insurance changed. When I am able I am going back to her.
Theresa S. replied:
I am seeing Dr. Gaddam in S Denton. I have only seen her twice but am loving her. She also has offices in other places. I am not sure if she specializes in type 1. I am 2.
Susy D. replied:
I have not found any endocrinologist near that I am happy with. I went to dr Brian Welch at endocrinology specialists of north Texas and was THRILLED. He really listened, staff are friendly and helpful, he is a utsw grad so incredibly knowledgeable and is well organized and has a clear plan he develops alongside you. It's the ONLY good experience I have had with all parts of an endocrinologist office since moving to Texas 9 years ago. Downside is that it's in Dallas off 75 by big Baylor. The parking lot is by the office tho and it's a nice building and lots of good restaurants and coffee places around. To me it's worth the trek.
Sherene J. replied:
LOVE Dr.Roopa Sathyaprakash at Endocrine and Thyroid center in Colleyville. Little bit of a drive but she is amazing!
Any one know of a good Endocrinologist in Flower Mound or surrounding area?
