I took my daughter to Page & Small in Charlton. They were able to do a colour overlay test as well and very child friendly.

Not sure if it fits your location needs, but by far I would recommend: http://www.londonoptometrists.com/. I spent years trying to get my eye issues diagnosed (kerataconus), and these Doctor's were able to help me out immediately. Highly recommended.

https://www.londonoptometrists.com/ Highly educated, very tenured optometrists. I had to go to multiple opts to get my kerataconus diagnosed, everyone (all other locations I went to) just kept saying it as a wrong prescription. Dr. Forristal was genuinely intrigued about my sight and had a hunch it was kerataconus and referred me to a specialist (TLC) to have it diagnosed for certain. He also stayed late to get me into an appointment. Also he was never pushy about purchasing glasses from their storefront. Truly cannot recommend any other Optometrist.

[South London Optometry](http://www.oldsouthoptometry.com/), we've been patients here for 2 years, they do a great job.

I had only good experiences at Old South Optometry. The doctor there is really great and the service is pretty good too. Prices are fucked but that's true for any good optometrist.

I'd say just go to the closest optometrist and if the office isn't a dump you are pretty safe. Byron Optometry are really good but I've never been to an optometrist that WASN'T good.

Dr. Mao at St. Joseph's downtown is great.

Serious question, but what makes an optometrist "reputable"? I don't have any vision problems, but have taken my kids to Catherine Walden at Sunningdale Optometry. One of my roommates at Waterloo graduated with her, that's the only reason I went with her. I ask about what makes one reputable because my youngest may need glasses, so optometrists may become a bigger part of my life!
Is there a reason why optometrists are not allowed to refer directly to an ophthalmologist? I have FOUR requests for onward referral in 1wk!
