Hi. I'm looking for a contact for a container going to Syria or to that area from the UK. Also I have a few questions. My sister works at a pharmacy in Worthing, West...

Please can you post queries about Syria in this group; https://www.facebook.com/groups/PeopletoPeopleSolidaritySouthernSEEurope/ We keep this page clear of non-northern France stuff to make it easier for people to find what they need. These guys: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CRS.UKMEDTEAM/ can help you on meds and bandages- there is a needs list on that page. Most of them are on here but you'll get a faster response (and the info may already be up!) on there.

Thanks Rachel. There are so many groups these days! I think I'm already part of at least 6. I did ask a question about Northern France in my post though. If these items are needed there, then I would say my post is relevant to this page. Often the things my sister has have very short dates, so could be best to go to Calais rather than spend the 6 weeks it takes a container to get to Syria. Just trying to figure out the best thing to do! Thanks.
Hi all, I would like to get a steamer or vaporiser for stuffy noses, does anyone have any recommendations as to which one is best. Thank you very much
Anna W. replied:
I bought a cup from the local chemist which has a plastic lid which forms like a mask over the nose. It was only a fiver and it is the easiest thing to use. Leaning over a sink with a towel on the head is not practical to do 3 times a day (which is what is required for steaming to be effective) and is practical for kids too. Here is one like it http://www.amazon.co.uk/Medisure-MS05475-Steam-Inhaler-Cup/dp/B004GK0R2G

Have a look on findahomeopath.org.uk for more people. Also, you could ring some pharmacies/healthfood shops because you might just find one that has it.

I use The Willows Chemist . 020 86179130 54A Willow Lane, Willow Lane Ind Estate, Mitcham. They get the prescription from my doctor and deliver to my door. x

I use the one attached to Jubilee Health Centre- have my prescriptions, repeats and one offs, sent direct from my GP surgery. Never had a problem.

I also gave up on Boots. Awful service. I now go to First Phamacy in Wallington. They have been brilliant.

Manor Pharmacy near Wallington station is good, they will even deliver your prescription to your house.

Marks and Sparks. Large branches of Tesco and Sainsbury bake fresh white every day (personally I don't care for plain white but that's just me). Genius. And Schar vacuum packed brown is very tasty with a long shelf life.

I really like the bread from the Incredible Bakery Company. They offer mail order for £3.00 delivery http://www.incrediblebakerycompany.co.uk/. :)

IMO The best bread is M and S, but it’s too expensive (naturally). Genius is pretty good once you acquire the taste for it. We get that on prescription for my daughter but she’s been coeliac since she was 2 so doesnt really mind most of the GF stuff. Tesco Finest GF cakes are yum!!
