I second Dr. Dorman with Associated Dermatologists in Novi. He has done wonders with my daughter's skin. She has had acne, well, since birth, but it gradually worsened as she got older to where it was extremely severe on face, back, chest, and arms. We started seeing him at age 9.5 and within a few months her back and chest are clear and her face has improved dramatically. Because of her age we've only used topicals, no harsh pills. He is very caring and always asks her what she thinks and feels.

Good luck seeing Dr Lacasse.....spent many times there and NEVER got to see her. Even when I specifically asked to be scheduled with her only. I always ended up with someone else, or an intern on rotation. I’d recommend Dr Cetner.

dr. chiara, milford. he is different, but definitely always solved our skin care issues and we have a lot. I have tried dr. Cetner I do like him too. Also Dr Lipkin in Brighton Howell area is pretty good too. But I do find many dermatologists are just drug pushers. Dr. Chiara was not. Probably depends on what you have going on also.

My recommendation is sort of dependent on what you're seeing the doctor for. I liked Dr. Chiara and the office, but he wasn't that knowledgeable about psoriasis and the modern drugs available to treat it. He was very honest about it, though.

I second Associated Dermatologists. My daughter suffers from severe acne- she is only 10. They have done wonders. Her doctor is Dr. Michael Dorman. He is always good with her. The nurses and rest of staff are as well. We go to Novi office. Worth the drive.

Dr. Leedle is technically a chiropractor, but he does these NAET allergy treatments using acupressure. His treatments are hard to explain in detail, and they sound a little hokey, but trust me, they work. My sister had an allergy to dairy (she wasn't just lactose intolerant, she had a legitimate allergy), but after she had one of his treatments, she was able to consume dairy with no problem.
