Dr Scott Laker actually specializes in laparoscopic hernia repair. One of the best surgeons I have ever met.

Dr Ang is the Chief of Surgery there. He did my mom's 3 incision and drainages prior to her being transferred to St Joe's for flesh-eating bacteria. He did a fantastic job, and he really cares about his patients. I worked in the OR there and he was a great physician. He's Chief of Surgery for a reason! EDIT: FYI - My mom had the abscess PRIOR to going to HVSH. She was admitted through ER to have it drained. Apparently, I HAD to clarify.

Scott Laker and have him do at Lakes Surgery Center in West Bloomfield. Much more cost effective at a surgery center compared to a hospital and surgery is all they specialize in so very skilled staff, JCAHO Accredited as well which is gold standard.

I can recommend a few as I'm a surgical tech and "scrub" for many at a local hospital. Dr. Robert Clark in Brighton. I've worked with him for 18 years. Dr. Hart in Milford, Dr. Greenlee (w.bloomfield?). If you have any questions, private message me. It's really a very quick proceedure and one that most patients remember very little of.

Dr. Stack at Michigan Vision Institute. I work for him so you may think that I'm biased but he's a compassionate doctor with fabulous surgical outcomes. He utilizes LenSx which is advanced technology laser to perform cataract surgery that allows a more precise and predictable outcome.
