Dr. Wallace McGrew at the Frist Clinic (part of Centennial). Might not be convenient to drive downtown, but he is worth it.

Dr. Mc Grew actually went and visited a lady at home (lady worked for same company I used to) as she was in the final stages of stomach cancer. I thankfully have not had to see him in many years but he had a wonderful bedside manner and truly cares for his patients.

The BEST Gastroenterologist in the whole world is Dr. Price at St. Thomas Midtown. I have colitis and he is absolutely wonderful!

Dr. Cynthia Wallace in Hermitage is the best listener EVER and her speciality is family medicine but I am not sure if she is taking new patients of if there is a wait for a new patient appointment. 889 7010.

Dr. Harrison Shull or Dr. George Wright. Haven't seen them as a patient but dealt with them while dealing with mutual patients. They are very sweet and really care about their patients. Pretty smart guys too!

I go to and know many others who use Cole Family Practice in Hermitage (short drive from Donelson). You'll see an NP instead of a doctor. They are all very personable and helpful. Been going there for years.

As far as gastro doctors, the Vanderbilt digestive disease center is the best. Dr Sara Horst is great.
