Can anyone recommend a good vet in the area? Thanks!
Lori D. replied:
I like Newbury Animal hospital--all the vets are good. But now that my cat is old, I am using Dr. Rebecca Schoenberg at Autumn Care and Crossings. She does house calls and is absolutely wonderful. When the time comes for your senior pet, she does euthanasia in the privacy and comfort of your home. But she's just for senior pets, so if yours is younger, the Newbury Animal Hospital is great. http://autumnvet.com/

Carr Island. All the staff and vets there are great. Dr. Hennesey has helped me so much in making the right choices for my senior citizen dog. She is so kind and compassionate.

Carol Ann Dalto, I heard Dr. Hennesy was retiring. She is the reason I have used them. The support staff has become exceedingly uncool lately.

I use Amesbury Animal Hospital...big thing I have called them in the middle of the night for an emergency AND DR SMITH MET ME AT THE DOOR!
Jeanne L. replied:
Dr Zelman also did a house visit for euthanasia for me as well.:(

Oh this is a tough one.... Dr Zelman and Dr. Guerillo (sp?) at Newbury Animal hospital are awesome but they're NOT cheap. Also, the wait time in the waiting room is unruly, especially if you have a pet that gets stressed. We would sit in our car for up to 30 minutes with a panting old pup. They also don't do a lot of procedures there so we ended up having to go elsewhere for things like ACL or removal of thyroid. And where they actually sent us was Amesbury animal hospital.... To Dr. Candy. He was awesome. We made the very hard decision to switch to them full time. We've only been twice to the new facility and things have been a bit disorganized (showing up and being told we had the wrong day / time when they called to confirm the day before, etc) but they're fantastic and I'd say their rates are 20% better than Newbury.

Ann Craig from Carr Island does house visits for annual visits. My dog hasn't seen the inside of a vet clinic in years. All shots, preventative meds, etc. And she is on call 24 x7

Muddy Creek is the best
Carol D. replied:
Dr. Elizabeth Hennessy at Carr Island Animal Hospital on Merrimack St. is AWESOME! She cared for our two cats for many years, and then later for our two dogs. It seems like animals just naturally love her. She will also come to your home when it is time to say goodbye to your animal friend.

Dr. Hennessy is a great vet, though I've never had the pleasure of seeing her myself. As a trainer, former vet tech, and someone who is very picky with who sees their dog - I love Health & Wellness in Hampton Falls. Love.
