The downtown location - on Bank near Somerset - has a great big space where they've been doing most of the Octopus book events. Pei-Ju Wang is the event coordinator there now - worth getting in touch with!

yes. depends on the event, but Black Squirrel Books has 2 locations and Perfect Books may accomodate. my heart lies in Black Squirrel

Octopus Books on Third in the Glebe does a lot of events, although they're usually politically related somehow.... it's too bad Collected Works is closed now cause they'd have been perfect
can anyone recommend a good kids' bookstore in central London?

And in Wimbledon: http://www.wimbledonbooksandmusic.co.uk/ These folks manage to pack a very high quality selection of fantastic children's books in a small space. Worth the journey!

There is a section of books for sale at Carlingwood library and a table at Scotia bank in Carlingwood mall. Salvation Army and Value Village also Have books
