Looking for recommendations for a good shoemaker or shoe repair shop that can alter my shoes (adding a lift, etc)
Maria T. replied:
There are few real cobblers left these days, but here's one that a lot of people mention on Wellington Street: www.maxsfootwearandcobbler.ca. They also sell shoes.
Nora S. replied:
Shoe Repair Kanata - Hazeldean Mall. Really good at repairs. He even fixed a hole (yes a hole) in my shoe.:)

Suggestions for shoe repair in the westboro/hintonburg area. I have a pair of Blundstones that need new soles.
Katherine G. replied:
Max's Shoe Repair! He is THE BEST. There is one problem...he also sells shoes, and you will want to buy every pair.
Kristine H. replied:
I second Westboro Shoe Rebuilders. He has fixed several pairs for me so far and did an excellent job on all counts.
Jan W. replied:
I just took my shoes to get stretched at the Lincoln Fields Shoe repair in the mall there. He did a great job and told me to bring them back if I needed them stretched more, which I have to do this week!
Simone C. replied:
Many women here have gone to Westboro Shoe Rebuilders. Corner of Carling and Sherborne .. same mall as Unlimited Fitness. Dang is a good kind man and is a expert shoe rebuilder. He very much needs community support to keep his business open. He can fix anything!!!! Vibram, Birkenstocks and everything inbetween. I know he can redo Blundstones. http://www.yelp.ca/biz/westboro-shoe-rebuilders-ottawa-2
Anyone have a good shoe repair place in Centretown? My beloved Sorels have a hole :(

this guy is amazing http://www.yelp.ca/biz/capital-shoe-clinic-ottawa
Ruth S. replied:
Katie the place Erika recommends is right around the corner from The Hub beside the Laura Secord. I'm going to take a pair of gloves that need restitching in next time I come in to work with you.
Hi Laurie, we provide the service at Goodfellow Cleaners, but not on site. I deal with a shoe repair business that picks up from us every 2-3 days. It is about a 5 day turnaround.
If they're still there, there's a place right beside Gabriel Pizza on Ogilvie Rd...plus, there's one on St Joseph near St Hubert, in a little plaza with a corner store...kind of across from McDonalds...
I am looking for a good shoe repair place south of Ottawa ( Manotic/Greely/Riverside south/ Barhaveen area)

Ildikó Vincze, there is a shoe repair place on stage coach road, they only have a sign outside their house, I am not sure of hours or phone number but Kilda has used.
