Im getting really frustrated looking for comfortable, supportive shoes not made from animals .. to the point that I'm debating investing in leather. I'm a hairstylist...

I bought some of these (BOGO 1/2 off deal on Sportchek right now) because the reviews on Amazon & Zappos are excellent. Not sure they are work-appropriate for you: http://www.sportchek.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=29759026&cp=11542433.12000689.12000703.37787806

Also, you can check http://www.zappos.com/vegan and read a wide range of reviews on shoes and then look for your chosen style locally since they don't ship to Canada.

Everything at Nice Shoes is vegan. They are a great store to buy from. And they have lots of supportive, comfy shoes!!https://niceshoes.ca/
Laura N. replied:
Moo Shoes ships to Canada, but it's $30 shipping.

I have ordered boots from Amazon.com, not .ca. The brand Bamboo makes really comfortable, fashionable boots. Everyone wants them! I haven't bought any of their shoes yet, but I plan to.

My friend's store, https://www.facebook.com/arsenegilou?fref=photo, sells a couple of these: http://www.veja-store.com/en/. And more maybe... not sure.
Doc Martins has a vegan line that are really cute. You could also look at the MooShoes website in NYC, they have a whole bunch of great vegan foot ware.

http://www.callitspring.com/ has a ton of non-ugly non-leather shoes! They have stores in most of the malls or you can just order online.
Anyone have any good house mixes they can recommend for my upcoming travels? None of that sweaty dudes on ghb in puma shoes and way too short tennis shorts house...
*Shameless* But this mix I did for High on Beats is majority bass-centric house (with a little bit of grime and dubstep to set it off) https://soundcloud.com/aufect-recordings/highcast-004-dj-cure
Hello ladies,
Does anyone knows a local (Ottawa) women shelter?
I'm cleaning my closet and have women clothing and shoes to give a shelter.
Thank you in advance.

Can anyone recommend a good shoe guy? Hi everyone,
Can anyone recommend a good shoe guy? I need someone to save the cork base of my Birkenstock sandals...
Thank you!

[Westboro Shoe Rebuilders](http://www.yelp.ca/biz/westboro-shoe-rebuilders-ottawa) ... is very good, and priced fairly. Note the new address at *1867 Carling Ave, Carling and Maitland.* .
sarkeo replied:
I'm not sure what part of town you're in, but I really like the guy in Hazeldean Mall. I have taken quite a few pairs of shoes to him with no issue. Reasonably priced too.
questioner2400 replied:
Bump for this question. I need to re-sole my Birks (thankfully not burned through to the cork yet) before it's too late to save them. There's a place in Toronto that will do it if I mail it in, but I'd rather do local if possible.
Saweetd replied:
I'm not sure of his ability with Birkenstocks but I have taken all my shoes that I've ever needed repaired to Bytown Shoe Repair on Dalhousie. He's always done a great job and been reasonably priced.. I suggest checking him out!

Paris Shoe Repair (near St Laurent and Montreal) has always done great work for me! Apparently they do all the boots for the RCMP in nearby Manor Park. Good prices. THANK YOU!! I called these places today and looks like Bytowne Shoe Repair is the place for me. $10-$15 vs $40-50 in other places. Wahey!
