apparently never asked before: osteopath recommendations in ottawa (downtown area) i work in the market and live in chinatown so i'm looking for something in...
her_nibs replied:
Hrm. The one you mention works out of a clinic that offers out-and-out nonsense like homeopathy and reiki. I personally [would not bother](http://www.quackwatch.com/04ConsumerEducation/QA/osteo.html).
Konkle replied:
I am a chiropractor at the GoodLife on Queen Street. I don't subscribe to the concepts of homeopathy or reiki that /u/her_nibs mentions, and provide physical therapy treatment options such as therapeutic ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, and rehabilitative exercises as well as the more traditional spinal manipulation treatment - depending on the condition of course. You can find out more about my practice here: http://www.goodlifefitness.com/healthcentres/ottawa/149/215/

If you can't find one there, there's an osteopath across the street from the BMR on Innes in Orleans.

I've been going to [Integrated Manual Therapy Centre](http://www.integratedmanualtherapycentre.com/) on Somerset St W. for physio on a hip issue since Sept, and am quite pleased with the treatments. I've been to quite a few different physios over the years (I'm a rugby/hockey player.. injured many different body parts), and I've found that at Integrated (I'm seeing Lorraine there) is the only place where the physio is 'hands on' the entire visit.

Does anyone know a good Osteopath in Ottawa? That would be really appreciated! Thanks!
Mica C. replied:
I'm not sure if you would be willing to venture to the Gatineau side but there is the Professional Training School for QC that offers Osteopathy services at great prices and I believe can even be covered by benefits. I have a colleague who referred me and said she and her daughter had a great experience. The students are supervised by their professors so the services are very thorough.
