When we had our baby, the General Hospital gave us a list of paediatricians that were accepting patients. Maybe if you called, they would share their updated list with you.

Hi, We moved here about 3 years ago. We had a much easier time finding a pediatrician for our infant son in 2018 than we did finding a family doc. There's a pediatric practice in the Ottawa Hospital Riverside campus medical building (not in the actual hospital). We had no problem getting in there (in 2018, so may have changed). Their number is 613-737-3121.

As the son of an Ottawa pediatrician I would suggest calling around and hoping for the best. Try some of the younger pediatricians in Ottawa like Dr. Van Stralen, Dr. Sadana, Dr. Shariff, etc.

Basically as everyone else has said, there aren't that many pediatricians in town for everyone to have one. Typically you'll just see a family Doc and get referred when needed.

I liked Dr jolly (she's part of the same team as my daughter's pediatrician) but she's not taking new patients unless it's a newborn under a week or two old. Dr Chang in the same building is also part of the same group and hd was awesome!
