Does anyone have a recommendation for a gastroenterologist in the area? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also in Plano...Dr. Sindhu Abraham at Digestive Health Associates, (972) 867-0019. Worth the drive. Really cares about her patients.
Robin B. replied:
My husband and I really like Dr. Neil Mehta. Great bedside manner, plus he's local too. I've talked to numerous locals who use him, and we all like him: 972-316-0262

Jody Houston in Grapevine!!!!!!
Ramona B. replied:
Had two recommendations just last week for Dr. Raymond Vallera Texas Digestive Disease Clinic in Irving.
Kelly D. replied:
Dr. Jim Weber, Steve Lacey, Tim Ritter, and Dr. smith are all phenomenal and I'd GI to any of them. They are TDDC in Southlake. Weber takes care of my whole family. Their NP, Nancy is great if you want to see a woman.

I have a rare condition of the esophagus and highly recommend Dr Goldschmeidt in Plano Baylor. Good to see some raves about others as well, this is a very important specialty, you need to trust who you see!!
Samantha T. replied:
Love Dr Brown in Plano. He's also easy on the eyes. Saw him on WFAA one morning also.
Mary J. replied:
I also recommend Dr Kenneth Brown in Plano. When he suspected colorectal cancer he bumped other patients back to get me colonoscopy & endoscopy first thing the next morning. His staff is very kind and compassionate too.. After my cancer diagnosis, I sought treatment at MD Anderson. His office called me 2 1/2 mo's after I saw him to check on me & get update. Very professional. Worth the drive.
Barb G. replied:
Dr Timothy Ritter at Baylor in Grapevine. We have used him for over 19 years
Louis S. replied:
Dr Andrew Holt at Texas Digestive Disease Consultaints (TDDC), 4370 Medical Arts Drive, Suite #295 Flower Mound, TX 75028, (972) 691-3777. He is on second floor of building which is adjacent to Presbyterian Hospital.
Barbara B. replied:
Andrew Holt is who my ob/gyn recommended after I had not great experience with Stephens
Kelly L. replied:
I would also agree with avoiding Dr Stephens. She is supposedly my doctor, but I have only seen her once, and that was a few years ago. I would avoid TDDC in FM if possible. Long lead times for appointments, and you can only see the doctor assigned to you, or the nurse practitioner. If you have to go to TDDC in Flower Mound, though, the nurse practitioner, Laila, was very thorough. I much preferred her to Dr Stephens.

I have several gastro issues, Celiac Disease, History of intestinal ischemia, and have had a gastric bypass. Needless to say I've got complicated gastro issues. I use Dr. John Hyatt with Dallas Diagnostic Associates at Baylor Plano 469-800-6000. I can tell you, in my personal opinion, to stay away from Dr. Levitan at Texas Digestive Disease Associates in Grapevine. Horrible physician. He told me for 2 years that I had IBS when I actually have Celiac Disease. Even when I was pushing him to test for food allergies.
David B. replied:
Dr. Neil Mehta - absolutely wonderful bedside manner - takes his time with you. http://www.tddctx.com/mehta.html
Carolyn L. replied:
http://www.kennethbrownmd.com/ Highly highly recommend Dr Brown - he is in Plano, but so worth the drive! I did use a local FM Dr., but after that experience I have no problem driving to Plano!
Cindy B. replied:
I second Dr. Ritter in Grapevine. He is excellent.
Does anyone know a gastroenterologist they would recommend, near or in Plano? For my 16 yr old son.
Stephanie P. replied:
I use Dr. Brown at the Medical Center of Plano Great guy! Kenneth Brown, M.D Gastroenterologist 1600 Coit Rd #301, Plano, TX 75075 (972) 867-0019
Tamyron O. replied:
Stephanie Paholski- too funny, Dr. Brown is one of the doctors I was looking into on my own on Friday I think a 16 yr old young man would be more comfortable talking with a male Dr. than a woman. Thanks!
HaleyAnn G. replied:
Dr Michael Weisberg at Medical Center Plano, that's who Roger goes to. He's good
