Dr. Craig Goodhart of Ortho Texas. H did my knee. When I racked up my shoulder during a fall, went back to him and he offered the appropriate diagnosis. Not a big "cutter". He suggested rehab on the shoulder and all has been fine.

I just had surgery for a detached labrum and nearly detached rotator cuff. I saw Jeffrey Bayless in Irving on a recommendation from a colleague. The downside was that I felt like my post-op instructions were too vague or conflicting. But I do appear to have excellent results. I'm almost 6 weeks post surgery and my range of motion is better than anyone, including my PT, expected. I will say that, when it comes to PT, a couple of PBA members pointed me toward Clair Physical Therapy in Plano at Park and Ohio and they are A-MAZING, so definitely file that away for when you need it.
Ron P. replied:
Alan Barber is very good. Worked on my son's knees

Stephen B. replied:
Dr. Glogau at Ortho Texas in Plano is a great surgeon. Kind of an ass, who definitely does not have time for your nonsense. But who cares, he put my collarbone back together and I am back to 100%. Great hands, bedside manor is nonexistent. Lol
J.D. R. replied:
Dr Berry at SPORT
Elizabeth S. replied:
Mark Muller at Carrell Clinic did my hip one year ago yesterday. Very, very happy with his work.
Bart K. replied:
Keith Heier. He did my foot and has a great reputation. Duncan Ramsey is another excellent knee expert. Both have repaired me!!!!
Richard C. replied:
Dr John Barrington. No question. He performed a partial knee replacement on my right knee in January 2014 and I have never felt better. I started running and playing tennis in April 2014 and have had ZERO issues. I've run 2,000 miles since the surgery with NO problems. My 1-year follow-up exam with him was perfect. NO complications. He's a tennis player himself and specializes in treating active athletes. I had gone to Dr Alan Barber beforehand for a second opinion and thought he was a jerk. Terrible bedside manner. Told me flat-out I would never run again. Don't need that crap. Go see Dr Barrington. He is a magician. Good luck.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good Orthopedic Sports Medicine (Physical Rehab) Doctor? Dealing with a calf muscle issue - not joint related. Thanks!
Ruben U. replied:
I suggest just get a prescription for physical therapy. Then I recommend Kevin at Kinetic Physical Therapy on Preston and Hedgecoxe. With any luck he will see if dry needling is what you need. It helped my son play UTD soccer with groin and hamsting injuries missing no games. I had knee surgery a few months ago and six weeks in my calf and then hamstring was holding me back. He spotted the problem area and the dry needle was almost instant each time. It should be said that this is not in anyway similar to acupuncture.
Sheronda W. replied:
Dr Billy Kuykendall at Airrosti Rehab Center, in Allen. They specialize in sports rehab by working in the deep tissue
Lori M. replied:
I work at Pitman Creek Physical Therapy and both the therapists there can work with that type of injury. However, you do need a doc's referral.
