Dr. Jason and Dr. Jessica Black at A Family Healing Center in Portland. Dr. Jessica specializes in anti-inflammatory diet protocols, as well as well baby and pediatrics. Both docs are excellent, and could definitely help identify possible allergies, sensitivities, etc.. They also have an office in McMinnville. I have celiac and have done really well working with Dr. Jason.
I'm hoping I can find some help here. My 7 year old daughter come home from visitation with her dad every week super sick. She throws up almost every week. She has had...

There's a list on Food Fight's website with a vegan family physician listed http://www.foodfightgrocery.com/pdxguide/

Dr. Monique Pritchard is our Vegan Pediatrician. Her contact information is for the Sellwood Medical Clinic but she is also now working out of a clinic on Greeley. She is amazing! We also see Dr. Kelly Owens is our naturopath and she has been awesome with figuring out all of our food sensitivities. I have never asked her if she is vegan but she is 100% supportive!
Andria S. replied:
We use Blossom Wellness in Camas. Also, you could try Dr. Soden at Evergreen Pediatric Clinic. She has been very supportive of our approach. She isn't vegan though. What about sending a bottle of Ripple milk with your daughter when she visits her dad. You can find it at Targer, Natural Grocer or Whole Foods. It has a ton of protein, calcium and other vitamins so he might not have a problem with her drinking it.
Eileen S. replied:
We see Dr. Voytas at Evergreen Pediatrics. He is totally on board with being vegan and is a super amazing pediatrician.
Yesiam S. replied:
I wholeheartedly recommend Joanna May, who is a vegan, natropath in the woodstock area 5037710615. Wish y'all the best:-)
We take Zach to Dr. DeMerell for his food allergies (nuts, dairy and shellfish). He and his staff are helpful and up on all the recent studies and practices. http://www.aadapc.com/
Kali S. replied:
We go to Dr. Baker Asthma and Allergy Specialist for our nut, shellfish, cat and asthma issues. He changed our lives. He is in Lake Oswego, so kind of a haul. I know he is piloting allergy treatments via drops (vs shots) commonly used in Europe.

Barzin Khalili at The Allergy Clinic downtown is my go-to referral.
Does anyone know of a good EDS doctor? I'm talking someone for my primary DR that will just understand things that are happening to my body and send me to the right...
Lorna C. replied:
I'm working on finding that also. Dr. Shawn Macalester, D.O. Is a great doctor-the first doctor who seemed to understand me. He is a rheumatologist at Orenco Station Medical Group in Hillsboro. He didn't know what EDS was, but he did end up referring me to Dr. In North Portland on Mississippi Avenue. I forgot the name of the doctor. That doctor knows of EDS and he tried to re-align me. Unfortunately I ended up having additional issues so he said I was too weak and needed to strengthen up before he could help me. That was more than a year ago. I am athletic, yet I haven't been able to strength up enough. I would strongly recommend seeing Dr. M at Orenco in Hillsboro. Unfortunately he didn't know how to help me either so I was discharged from his care, but at least he was able to diagnose some of my issues and he got me going in the right direction!
Lorna C. replied:
Here is where the rheumatologist referred me- North Portland Dr. Esmer He is familiar with EDS. http://osteopathicpdx.com/
Julie A. replied:
I went to Dr. Macalester once. He is very thorough but when I said I had night sweats he assumed I had been in jail and kept asking that instead of realizing I'm over 50 and female so of course I might be having hot flashes. That was offensive to me. His office also was inconsiderate by not giving me his findings in person but over the phone without asking if it was a good time or if I was in a place that they could be discussed. He's one of the reasons I don't want to go to any doctors now. I'm tired of being insulted and them making assumptions about me which are wrong and treating me like I'm lying.
Tomi D. replied:
My PCP Dr. Marc Lewis in Hillsboro is beyond caring and fights for my daughter and I even though we were his first EDS'ers

EVERYTHING I consume makes my throat itchy ... Except for maybe water. Anybody know a good food allergist in the Portland area?!?
Jared S. replied:
She isn't an allergist, but I had a food sensitivity testing done there: Dr. Dahra Perkins...she also understands and supports "non-traditional" medicine like the Paleo diet. http://www.integrativeprimarycare.com/people/Dahra_Perkins.html
Does anyone have a food allergist they'd recommend? I want to get tested
