Any body shops you guys recommend? My car was the unfortunate victim of a hit and run this week. Was staying the night at my girlfriends place (she lives in...
Ken K. replied:
Unfortunately I had to use these guys a few times. Real reasonable. http://heitzmanbodyandpaint.com/
Becky P. replied:
Does it need paint? If you don't need paint, go to Ding Bat in Newberg! They did my Fathers all original Triumph, no paint needed, just pull a dent out, $400.00!! Was a PERFECT JOB!!!!!!
Ken K. replied:
Also used Tualatin Auto body. Very reasonable.

Fwiw I just went to 2 shops for identical estimates this week. Tualatin Auto Body and Tigard Artistic Auto Body. The job was to paint a front lip and 2 side skirts. First shop quoted $270, 2 nd shop did a ballpark of $700. Both shops were very professional, at least for the estimations.
Ken K. replied:
I had Tualatin Auto Body do both my 442 and Packard. I like them for my old cars as can they call on their So Cal Hot Rod shop in the same shop for help. I took the 442 in there to get the hood painted as it some small damage. After I took it there I notice what I told to them on the intake scoops was incorrect as I saw an all original 442. I went back hoping I could stop them from doing the way I advised. They actually looked on the web and did the scoops the correct way. The one time I'm glad a Body Shop took some initiative on their own.

I've used Beaverton Autobody and Paint with success and recommended it to several friends who were also satisfied. Intact my brothers Subaru is there after someone rear ended him a few weeks back. His only complaint is their rentals, haha. Chevy Sonic, ick.

Only complaint I have about Tualatin auto body is I got my car back dirty, granted it wasn't clean at all when it went in but I kinda figured it would of been washed before or after painting

If you're in SE I had good luck with McCollum. On 75 th and foster. ETA they call you to give you updates, organized the rental and let me leave it there when I picked it up, dealt with insurance. Plus free details for life.

I had work done a few years ago at a place around 16 th and west Burnside, I don’t remember the name though. They did a great job and were just a block or two from that Enterprise lot where I could rent something for a week. They were pretty expensive but somebody else’s insurance was paying so I didn’t care.

[Artistic Auto Body in Tigard](https://www.artistic-autobody.com/), they've done great work on both my truck and my wife's car.
Ohrobohobo replied:
If you are in Aloha, Advantage Collision - the owner Chris, is a great guy, and the pricing was just as good as Abra/Kadels.
furthers9 replied:
There's a shop off Lombard on Kenton that does awesome work and is transparent with pricing. Always know what to ask for re: factory vs salvaged parts, state what you want as requirements and negotiate. Too lazy to look up now, but theres only one shop there.

Active Auto body off 23 rd & Burnside. Seen them do good work.

Mackin's, Artistic and Central Auto Body (former Mackin's guys) do good work. Leif's blows and the owner is a colossal turd.
iloveghoti replied:
I had a really good experience at Burnside Collision. Jeff is so nice and helpful! I recently damaged my passenger side mirror and they originally quoted me $245 for used parts and labor, but they ended up finding an even better deal for the part and in the end, I paid $170. They did a great paint job match.

I have always worked with Collision Rebuilders in NW Portland. They did an excellent job on my car, but not sure what all you need fixed. I highly recommend them, but don't know their rates as insurance always paid the bill.

I had a great experience with them 12/2013 when my car was rear-ended. Collision Rebuilders is great, but expensive if coming out of your pocket.
