I'm a long time camping nut (and scientist) and i like these far better in terms of ease of use and grip potential http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-11-in-Orange-Ground-Stake-14128/202048195 just set them into the playa at the appropriate angle to your structure. no stake strait down works.
