I would check out the zvex line of fuzzes. They have some great intense fuzz-to-ringmod pedals to play with, as well as fun things like optical thermin-type filter controls. Also, John Lyons has a quickly-growing pedal/amp company in WV, http://www.basicaudio.net. Worth checking out, and good to support friends! basic audio effect pedals, basic audio fx, Basic Audiowww.basicaudio.net "Basic Audio is run by me, John Lyons. I've been making pedals since 2002. Yah +1 for zvex I have the lo-fi loop junky pedal which is really limiting but I like it for that. You can add warp stuff to your sound. Dr. Scientist RRR is a nice digital verb. My fav delay is the skreddy pedals echo. Again it has analog effects on it with controls for warble. I honestly don't bother with whammy much with all the analogue modeled stuff.

If I had the $$$, I'd be all over the Echorec an amazing delay. http://www.catalinbread.com/Echorec Echorec | www.catalinbread.comwww.catalinbread.com Catalinbread: Echorec, Multi-tap echo.
The MXR Carbon Copy Delay has a modulation delay setting that has been the foundation of my sound for this new album:) Also have an old Rocktek Chorus pedal from the 80 s (I think) - which you can generally find cheap on eBay. It's the only chorus pedal I've ever used, all of the sounds on my records are done with that:)
Clarence M. replied:
Some have told me that the EHX Superego Synth is great for background drones. The Carbon Copy is awesome because it is one of the few delays that will self-oscillate. The previous recommendations for just about any Devi Ever fuzz are spot on. Also check out her Drone F#&k Drone pedal. My newest addition is the TC Ditto looper. I love it but I'm not sure how practical it would be for your application.
Patrick-Vincent H. replied:
For fuzz, I would recommend Devi Ever, she (or He) makes weird fuzz pedals. And for time, get a Red Panda Context, that blows out the Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master and EHX Cathedral. My main modu is a 1977 EHX Electirc Mistress (the original not the deluxe). So pretty much Red Panda delays (which I don't have...yet), EHX Mods and Devi's Fuzzes.
