Clarification, are you seeking med management? If it's strictly counseling, depending on the insurance you have you could do morrisons and family services, life works, western psychological, Q center, or Portland therapy center. There are others so choose what's right for you! Therapist/ counselor = therapy Psychiatrist/ LMP or NP = med management. Both are effective when combined together!

Diana, come to the Mayo Clinic. They have a well-regarded mood-disorders unit, and the cachet of the Mayo to go with it. There is a full range of treatment options available there, and then when you're ready, they'll discharge you with recommendations for follow-up at home. I'll come visit if you'd like. I absolutely understand that treatment-resistant depression can be challenging for the treatment professionals, but hell, do they think it's a cakewalk for the patient? I'm sorry. You're doing the best you can. You deserve better than this.

Ann McNattini have no substance abuse issues I am blackly depressed and suicidal. being away from home would be the WORST thing in the world. Suzanne Sherman: get a fucking clue. mental health services in portland suck !
