Where can I go to see a doctor/neurologist without the Czech health insurance? I only have the EU health insurance card.

Its not illegal as long as you pay your health insurance in your own country. As I'm not on a proper contract (teaching), I don't get company paid insurance. Instead, I pay it in my home country. Which I might change now, due to emergencies as these. Anyway, I managed to get a doctor to look at me at the Vinohrady hospital. It only took 8 hours and noone knows what's wrong with me. I left with a receipt for ibuprofen. Thanx for all the tips btw.

Here's the website in English. I doubt VZP is accepted, this is an "alternative" to drug-happy (cheaper) mainstream treatment. We paid 2 k in cash for her evaluation. Bio feedback sessions would cost more, obviously, or you can rent the equipment for use at home. I can't say if it worked, we took her out of Czech school & now that she's in Riverside the teachers don't really think she has the problem of ADHD. Www.eegbiofeedback.cz/home/curriculum_vitae

We visited this woman a few years ago and she seemed thorough, competent, and fairly friendly: MUDr. Bronislava KORSOVÁ, Poliklinika Budějovická, Antala Staška 1670/80, 14046, Praha 4 tel 261 006 685
If anyone knows a good experienced Neurologist who speaks English, please send me the contacts. Preferably accepting VZP. Much appreciated.

I went vinohradska hospital there and had some shit cut off my face. Dr. Soukup was the doctor there. He spoke English and was very nice. Insurance paid for everything, but I did have to wait. Just go there and tell them you need to see a doctor.

You could have pain in the finger because of the ganglion cyst pressing into the nerves running through your wrist to your hand. Plastic surgeons do this kind of operations in local anesthesia, and do it very nicely. I saw it done on Bulovka and it was done very nicely... It may be harder to get there though but if you mention the pain in the finger, that could speed things up. http://bulovka.cz/kliniky-a-oddeleni/klinika-plasticke-chirurgie/

I can strongly recommend Alena Cabalová near Florence. She is one of those rare doctors who transmits they really care. I also had an ear issue that caused me terrible dizziness. She doesn't do massage but can certainly diagnose. For spine massage try Rehaland cz.

Maria, you can choose any GP and it is up to him or her if they take you. You have the best chance to get someone in the quarter where you live but many take also patients from other city quarters. Here is a list of the GPs in Brno (although probably not all of them): http://www.znamylekar.cz/prakticky-lekar/brno
This may be a long shot, but I have severe migraines and I'm just about out if medication. I saw a neurologist before, can anyone recommend a doctor here?? Thanks!!
