If the situation at Na Hamolce is any indication, it is very difficult to get an appointment with endocrinologist as they are in short supply -- called make a "control" appointment this week and the soonest they could give me was July and that is as an established patient. There is also the Endocrinology Institutehttp://www.endo.cz/en/ which is known throughout Europe but I think too you need a referral but maybe you could check further

from Alzbeta Liz Belanova: Alzbeta Liz Belanova The central Endocrinological institute is located on Jungmannovo namesti - I go to Dr. Holub (though I visit him at his office hours in Krc) and he's very good but it's a very long wait for an apt. - so if you know when your mother is coming, make the apt. NOW. here is their website: http://www.endokrinologiepraha.cz/

Hi Christine, Have you looked at (1) Sante.cz. Some of the procedures are covered by state insurance companies. We have had good experience. See if they can help:) (2) I know of a top endocrinologist Doctor Nový at http://www.on-line24.cz/ but the nurses at the clinic there claim (every now and then) aren't taking any "new patients" However, the trick is to persuade them. He is overloaded his schedule of seeing patients extends to 9pm. He is known internationally and is regularly invited to speak at international medical conferences and so on. If you just need the extensive blood work and advice, they should be able to accommodate you. they also take VZP and there may be some extra payment but should not be too high.

Also, Motol is considered one of the top hospitals in CZ. I would call and ask for an English-speaking doctor I would expect they have at least one: http://www.fnmotol.cz/kliniky-a-oddeleni/cast-pro-dospele/klinika-nuklearni-mediciny-a-endokrinologie-uk-2-l/endokrinologicke-oddeleni/
