I have only good experience with Dr.Figuriva who heads OG Group in Vodickova street..great location, staff and service itself. I have CIGNA insurance package but I guess she also accepts VZP..you can give a call..they gave well-developed website as well..

Apparently Melinda Schmick King has a guy she is raving about (he delivered her last baby) and he has the added bonus of being good looking. Dr. Lubomir Haslik222-075-120.
Melinda K. replied:
It's true, Andrea, but in addition I have to say that you will NOT find an ob/gyn with better bedside manner in this entire city. Dr. Haslik's clinic is within the polyclinic on Narodni (Andrea listed the number.) I promise the care with him will be excellent.:)

If u're willing to go to P8, Bohnice, Poliklinika Mazurska, I recommend my dr., Petr Holy. He's GREAT. Verry good dr., speaks English and takes new pacients. Takes VZP. I only pay 30 Kc/visit. :) http://www.poliklinikamazurska.cz/seznam-lekaru/prehled-lekaru/mudr-holy-petr.aspx
Elza M. replied:
Oh, and he works at Bulovka Hospital too, u cand find him there too.

These are "my doctors" and I can assure you that they are the best.:) Their clinic is called GYNPRAG, and they are located in P1 at the Polyklinik on Narodni. I'm looking for a gynecologist that speaks English and takes VZP... Anyone know a good one?
Sharon C. replied:
Is that PVZP or the "real" Czech insurance? Dr Jana at: http://www.pwhc.cz/ is fabulous. She doesn't take the PVZP, but worth every penny. She delivered two of my three children.
Aysel M. replied:
I have quite good experience with MUDr Figurova from OG Group which is her private clinic..in Vodickova Str, P-1. English speaking, very friendly and professional..She delivered my 16-month old girl now..quite good experience..but she is very pricy...I had CIGNA insurance though..
Hello all the ladies of CrowdSauce! I need a good gynecologist in Prague, that speaks English, accept VZP health insurance and that don't have ridiculous waiting lists....
Jennifer H. replied:
Dr. Bittmanova fulfills all those requirements except the VZP - but VZP will cover all lab work. She charges like 1200 Kc for an exam (not sure what her current charges are, haven't been to see her in a while....).
Anna . replied:
This guy is amazing but private, you end up paying about 1000 something for exam, but the difference is huge. http://mujweb.cz/rozpravka/
Julie V. replied:
Try Dr Vladimira Pasekova (www.genitrix.cz)

Has anyone went to gyno at this place? http://poliklinika.agel.cz/index.html

I go to dr Samer Asad in Branik. He speaks English, takes vzp and you can register via znamylekar.cz usually near date appointments are possible
Ladies...I need a prescription for contraception pills. I am under the impression that my insurance here will not cover the cost, and that I need to find a gynecologist...
Elise R. replied:
Katarina Bittmanova, sweet lady close to italska trem stop. Don't remember exact prices, but she"s not too expensive
Hannah K. replied:
I second Dr. Bittmanova, she's always really fast and super nice & practical.

Hi, I have a question for lady friends here as I need a English speaker gynecologist here in Prague, also if anyone know a price range between private and public one ?...
Natalie J. replied:
I think I paid more like 650 cks for my first check up at OG Group - with the same doctor (this was in December 2013)... seems a big difference to Jennifer. Worth checking the costs for what you want in case we had different examinations.
Melinda K. replied:
http://www.gynprag.cz/EN/gynekologie_cenik.htm This is the pricelist for my ob/gyn. The office is centrally located, both doctors speak perfect English (as do the receptionists), and they're both amazing physicians.
Sharon C. replied:
Prague Women's Health. I don't know her prices, but Dr. Jana is an excellent doctor. P - 5 by Smichov.
Melinda K. replied:
I'd love to know who wrote the text for Dr. Figurova's (og group) new website. The words and style seem...oh, I don't know...so FAMILIAR.:/
Jennifer M. replied:
I've gone to oggroup and I loved Dr. Figurova but it was not cheap. My first annual exam was 3700 czk and then an additional 2000 czk for ultrasound. You can pay per visit with her.

Chrissie G. replied:
For a dentist I would HIGHLY recommend American Dentist in Prague. He is wonderful. He accepts most all forms of international insurance. Good luck on your move to Prague. It is a wonderful place. We moved here from the States in March with our 5 year old and just love it here. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions or need any help.:) http://www.americandentist.cz/American_Dentist_in_Prague,_Pstrossova_10,_110_00,_Praha_1.html
Jennifer M. replied:
Dr. Figurova at OG is a great gynecologist. I like Dr. Trindadent for a dentist but also like American Dentist in Prague. I haven't loved any of my PCPs but the English speaking GP at Motol is good if you have to go there.
Jessica T. replied:
Eva Kasickova at CMC in P4 is a wonderful gyn/ob.
Chrissie G. replied:
Chris, it stands for Private Care Physician. So yep, same as GP.:)
