Several of my friends recommend [L.A. Boxing](http://laboxing.com/cary/gyms/) and I trust their judgement. I've heard nothing but good things about this place.

This is against what you asked, but Rapid Fitness has a good MMA program... including boxing. Many of the members compete so you can get very serious if you want. http://www.rapidfitness.com/

Michael G. replied:
Yeah, it's a company like Apple, good sense of why people want their products, excellent customer service- but there are similar companies that offer comparable products for 80% or less the cost of rouge. Fringesports, rage, wayfair.com, amazon, corexripfit, are just some retailers I've been satisfied with in building my home gym. I will definitely watch rogue for a Black Friday sale though.

Steven, Lifetime will let her into the gym at 12 even without you (CANNOT use the free weights though until over 13, but there are some weight resistance machines she can use). The trainers there are WONDERFUL and help the kids too (Kaitlyn used to go with me). There is also a teen (12+) yoga class that is absolutely wonderful. There are also other classes, tons of machines, and the pool
Susan C. replied:
Lifetime Fitness (although quite pricey) and Fitness Connection at North Hills (not pricey but also not super clean) allow 12 yr olds. Also may want to check out Energy Kids at N Raleigh Gymnastics. I'm not entirely sure what they do but I know they have fitness classes for kids .
