I've had noting but excellent results with PJ. She uses positive reinforcement and it has worked well for both me and my dogs. Hear me out... The Nevada Humane Society on Longley has a current promotion going with puppy adoptions. The promo goes that the price of adoption for a puppy 4mo old and younger is $200, and if you bring back a completed/certified obedience training certificate within 6mo of the adoption, you get a $100 rebate. I only mention this because they have a big long list (probably available on their website too) of local trainers, specifically those who use positive reinforcement - they are, after all, the Humane Society. Their goal is to have a more-obedient pet population, which would reduce the number of strays and bite reports. Most of the reasons pet owners rehome their dogs can be prevented/corrected with proper training, so it's in their best interest to share that list. NHS in Carson has the same list. All you have to do is ask.:)
