https://www.cnic.navy.mil/PearlHarbor-Hickam/InstallationGuide/FacilitiesAndResources/OpportuneLiftProgram/index.htm Opportune lift program! Saved us tons of money. If you can get your vehicle to San Diego it would help. We shipped from Hawaii to San Diego for only $160. Depends on how many cars the more the less cost for them to rent a lift and split the difference between all the cars.

I shipped my car through Able Auto Transport and they did a great job. It was about 1900 from VA to HI and about the same from HI to NY.

We've used Dependable Auto Shippers twice with no problems at all.

We shipped my hubby's car from Hawaii to VA through the military POV. It took like 3 months, but it was free and hassle free. General POV shipping website where you can find a lot of information: https://www.whereismypov.com/ Info on stuff you’ll need to drop-off “turn-in” the vehicle being shipped: https://www.whereismypov.com/turnin.asp You can get all the forms/paperwork from them. Info on stuff you (or whoever) will need to pick-up the vehicle being shipped: https://www.whereismypov.com/pickup.asp
I have to move back to LA but I can't leave these behind! Can someone recommend a mover or shipper from TJ to LA?

The Navy Housing Service Center (HSC) can help you with housing whether you want to live in Lincoln Military Housing or community housing. The HSC maintains a list of properties for rent and may also have cost saving programs such as the Rental Partnership Program (RPP). To view the San Diego housing page visit http://navylifesw.com/sandiego/housing/. You can contact the HSC at 619-556-8443, or online using the Housing Early Application Tool (HEAT) at www.cnic.navy.mil/HEAT. Also, the DoD sponsored website HOMES.mil features community rentals from local landlords. If you have any questions please feel free to message me. Good luck with your PCS! – Kati
