I've never shopped there but the only place that pops into my head locally is Urban Fusion. As with anything in the style of Mid Century Modern, comfort might be lacking.

Mentioned in another comment is Urban Fusion Decor in Mission Hills. I’m lounging on one of their sectionals right now. It wasn’t a lot ($1200 on special I think), and it’s reasonably comfortable and has held up well for about 5 years now. This one was made in a factory in LA, and is of decent build quality. At the time of purchase there were significantly nicer sofas and materials which I couldn’t budget for. They had some great styles to choose from and everything can be customized. The guy who was working there was super laid back and nice to deal with as well.

You want Joy-bird Furniture. Owned by locals and they make astonishing good replicas and new designs. I have a set of eckler replicas that you cannot tell from the original and my soto 's are better built them some originals I have seen. https://joybird.com/blog/making-icon-joybirds-soto-chair/ They do the builds in Mexico but used to be in San Diego same guys just moved south to be closer to the woodworkers.

If you want mid century modern you might get the real thing at consignment Classics in point Loma, it’s a big mall which may be closed right now for the virus you can even get it and take there and have it refinished which would be better
