http://www.namsanguesthouse.com/namsan5/ check this out ^^ Actually I'm a staff from this guesthouse :) It's located in Myungdong which is the biggest shopping area in Seoul and we have 5 branches here in Myungdong so you can just choose where you want to stay among them ! We have handsome(?) and friendly staff, newly opened rooms, free breakfast, and free drinks!

https://www.facebook.com/dghseoul This guest houses really nice. I stayed here for about 3 months at one time. The owner is super friendly, fluent in English and can recommend places to visit. The guest house is located in the younger area where there are many restaurants, clubs, bars and subway station within only minutes walk.

Hongdae Guesthouse or Yellow Submarine (also in Hongdae) are good.

I found some pretty cool themed love hotels for my sister & her husband when they came. They spent a few nights at each of three wacko love hotels across Seoul, and then a few nights in a traditional Hanok homestay place. http://www.yanolja.com/ya_main/

Hi! Can anyone recommend a nice hostel or guesthouse in Busan, for a week holiday? Also what should we budget per night for accommodation?
Sarah B. replied:
LOL guesthouse. I found it through booking.com. the owner was so nice. Its actually a huge apartment on the 9 th floor of an ipark tower. Super clean and modern. I plan to stay again next time I'm in busan :)
Marli Shaw there are also some nicer motels in Nopo dong that let you check in for days at a time. The price is around 50,000₩. But if you want a convenient and beautiful place you have to spend the money. Any of the guest houses or hotels in Haeundae are really nice. But August is the peak season so the prices are exorbitant.
anyone got any hostel or cheap places to recommend for a short stay after christmas in london or paris till 6th jan? (maybe an empty couch in your house? hahaa)
Owen Y. replied:
Or you can try http://www.indianymca.org/ I heard it's pretty cheap. And it's in a good location (just 2 min away from my place, so I know). Walking distance to most of the central places and King's Cross.

I've stayed in half a dozen guesthouses around Seoul and for the most part, they've been fairly similar. Check reviews on hostelworld.com if you're worried, pick the best rating in the location that's convenient for you, and you'll be just fine.

I won't recommend a specific place, but hongdae would probably be a better spot to look.
