Did you know that there is a program called SNAP ( Spay Neuter a Assistance Program) that helps cover that cost. Ask your current vet if they honor that. There is also a credit card type program u can apply for called Care Credit. It think its no (or low) interest if you pay it off in allotted time. Ask your vet.
Jen G. replied:
this is the site where you can get a certificate to help lower the cost of spaying/neutering. Dakin accepts these certificates. http://www.mspca.org/programs/spay-neuter/

Henry Kirshner was pres. of Capital Bank when I worked ther. He left Capital to start Town & Country. No connection between the two banks but his son is an officer of Town & Country. Henry is deceased but hif wife & I are friends. If you need more help, I can contact her as she knows history of the banks.
Joyce W. replied:
Years ago it started out as. Captital Bank.
Lynn C. replied:
You're not going to find it under Capitol Bank. Regions number is 855-734-4667, that was its most recent name and they ought to have records showing the history and acquisitions.
Mike J. replied:
Capitol Bank & Trust, got my land loan there in 1980. Warren Martin was president. Nice people.

It'd be far for you, but Family Vet in haydenville really is great. It's the most alternative-y feel I've ever had at a vet. They're really great.
Jen G. replied:
Kelley Bollen - animal alliances for training. Her classes and seminars are great. She has a background in dog physiology and bio and does only positive reinforcement and gentle training. Her expertise is dog aggression and she is known nationally - develops programs and education plans for shelters. We are very lucky to have her in the valley!

As someone who never had a dog before this one and was not a dog person I found a book from The Dog Whisperer helpful because he talks about the energy you are sending the dog being more important than the commands. I have found this to be true. (ask Meg Eisenhauer - I had no voice of authority and barely knew how to pet them. "its moving its leg while I stractch his back - what is that about?")
