Check e-bay for "SOLD" items like the ones you have, but I've been looking for an appraiser myself for some time. I think ChrisandCes Acosta, from Acosta's consignment may be able to help you also.

There is a consignment shop in St. Charles that has classy furniture like your mom's piece. It is called Acosta's: 630-444-0950 and 630-513-5086. I understand they are opening a 3 rd. location in the old Ethan Allen building on 31 in downtown Batavia.
