I had my roof and porch roof done for 15,000. Architectural shingles and they cleaned up soooo well. Call the Roofing Guys and speak to Paul. Tell him Cyndie on Clairmonte sent you. Btw, Vanderhoof DOES do beautiful work but he was considerably more expensive. Mine was a total tear off and also to a pyramid shaping roof so I lot of cut shingles.

The Roofing Guys did our roof 2 years ago. They took pictures & videoed everything they did as we had to replace a lot of plywood, that way they could show us what was going on. Very professional, neat, and worked their tails off in 90+ degree weather.

I used Vanderhoof a long time ago and they were super expensive but did good work. Don't bother getting an estimate from them. They cost a fortune. I just used Robert Koch Construction this summer and they did an excellent job. He uses a 40 year shingle as opposed to many other roofing contractors. He was a bit more expensive than the other estimates but ultimately I thought he was worth it. I needed a new sky light and work around a chimney which he was equipped to do (as opposed to subcontracting). He did the job in one fell swoop so this was not a drawn out ordeal. Good luck!

Check out John Marinelli of Manlius. He is a general contractor with an army of guys that specialize in a variety of tasks. My parents have used him for a new roof and foundation repair. A good friend has used him to remodel two bathrooms along with custom closet creation. I had him replaced the copper flashing around my chimney a few years back and install roof vents. Honest. Just getting to your house would take longer then 20 minutes plus time to asses the situation, getting materials setting the ladder and equipment to get on your steep ass roof. I'm thinking at least $500-$700. Joe Rhody might help but as you already did your own estimate and figured 20 minutes. Ain't nobody going to do it for $20.
