Oh my gosh how awful for this raccoon and all affected wildlife! Conejo Valley Vet is open 24/7. Maybe you could call them and get advice ASAP. They've taken in wild, injured animals and will try to help them in the short-term before transferring them to a wildlife rehabilitation center. https://conejovet.com/

My dog has had a couple of after hours/weekend emergencies in which I had to take her to Ventura for treatment. There are 2 pet ERs there. I only knew about one at the time: Pet Emergency Clinic just off the Victoria exit. I can't complain about them, ...See More

the ONLY place i would go. . .they are amazing and excellent. . .but NOT inexpensive. . .vsmg. . .2199 sperry avenue, ventura, 339 2290. have had LOTS of positive experiences with them.
Crystal D. replied:
I second VMSG (Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group) in Ventura. It used to be their policy that they only took you on referral from your regular vet. Each vet on staff there is board certified in his/her speciality. For emergencies and treatment of serious illness, I trust no one else. By the way, I'm sure I've paid for one or two of their cars over the years. But worth every penny.

Are people actually reading this post. Petsmart is not the problem. Banfield Veterinary services are. People need to read the whole story before they comment.

Karen, Oxnard is a big city. It is the heart of the pit bull back yard breeding problem and is also one of the greatest opportunities for education for spay neuter and stopping back yard breeding. Oxnard has a huge community of wonderful and responsibl e pit bull owners and is more pit bull friendly than many communities. We get a lot of love from the people that visit us there. At the heart of the problem also lies the heart of the solution.

I then started classes with Evelyn . She is tough but clear and my big Ridgeback needed strong discipline as well as reward training .. It's good to try different classes ! Good luck
