Hi Shauna, I have been an early childhood educator for the past 35 years. I am currently a toddler teacher at Cubs Corner, located at St. Helens High School. Unfortunately my room will be full next year, with a waiting list. I thought this link may help you on your way to finding quality care for your child. http://families.naeyc.org/accredited-article/10-naeyc-program-standards Some young children do well in center care and others thrive in a smaller environment. At the end of the day, you know your child better than anyone else. Trust your insticts. Personally, I think it is always good to have training in Early Childhood Education when caring for young children. Best of luck to you.

Any recommendations for Dog daycares IN DC? We've been looking for some good dog daycares to take our dog to sometime during the week as we don't have a yard for him to...

I take my dog to Dog-Ma in SE. Not sure if it's worth looking into given your location but I can recommend it. The dog comes home totally worn out and they have a mostly out door area for them to run around in. Otherwise it doesn't seem like there's much as far as in the city goes. I tried Wagtime as well but had a bad vibe from the staff and then subsequently read some less than stellar reviews about the place online.

[City Dogs](http://city-dogs.com/) might work for you.

That's a shame he didn't like Doozydog, my favorite part of my morning commute is walking by and seeing all of them jumping around in the windows!

I took my dog to Wagtime in Navy Yard a few times but stopped because he had cuts on his face that the staff didn't mention to me. He is a super friendly pup and behaves well at the dog park, so I don't know what happened. The Kingsman dog park at 13 th and D St NE is really awesome too if you don't find a daycare but want to let your dog burn some energy.

We JUST started using [District Dogs](http://www.districtdogs.com/) at 3210 Georgia Ave NW yesterday. So far, our boy has been pretty happy with it, and their people are incredibly nice. Facilities are good, registration process is painless, and they have somewhat reasonable rates for DC. Our alternative is out in Beltsville, but that seems like an unreasonable haul.

I use [Luis's Dog Camp](https://www.yelp.com/biz/luis-dog-camp-Washington) -- we booked him on Rover and he mentioned he has a day care. it is $25 with pick up and drop off (or $100 for the week), which is a GREAT deal. my dog comes home tired!
If anyone knows of businesses taking on apprentices in animal care or childcare, can you please let me know ASAP.... As my lovely son is looking with no luck at all :(...
