Eastie Meditation Center is now reopen at 113 Cottage Street (@Maverick). A friend will be offering a one hour class on Mondays at 4:30 called "Relax, Breath, Meditate," beginning tomorrow January 11. The class is designed for new beginners and seasoned yogis -- a chance to unwind, renew, and reset your body and mind. It will include some gentle movement, a guided yoga nidra (deep relaxation), pranayama (breathing practices) and a short silent meditation. $5 suggested donation, all will be welcomed. If you have any questions you may message AchalaMGodino@gmail.com

There is a weekly yoga class with Carolyn Little on Tuesday evenings upstairs at 154 Maverick Street. It's at 6:30 pm and is donation based. You could also try the Yoga Lounge in Winthrop. Depending on where you live in Eastie, that may be the closest full time studio for now. I live in Jeffries Point and it takes me about 20 minutes to get there. I also know that they are having a month long beginner series that starts soon. I also go to Bow Street Yoga in Union Square, which is about a 15 minute drive (it actually takes less time to get there than Winthrop!) and they have some excellent beginner classes.

Oh Judy, it is the best workout! I love it! There is one place relatively close to you (www.pranapoweryoga.com) that I can recommend, I go to their other location in Newton regularly. But I could meet with you at the Woburn location one day and you can have a free class as my friend. I also have an extra mat and yoga towel that I can borrow. Let me know.
I am looking to try Yoga, haven't done it in years!! Need a local, no judgement yoga place to try. Any suggestions or has anyone heard of some local deals?
