For photography I'm using Heather Fuller! We just got our engagement photos back after just under 2 weeks. Shes super nice and has been very responsive to emails. Do you have a dress yet? I went to the bridal shops in Piccadilly Plaza and Auburn and had great experiences, but I found my dress at Vows (I highly recommend Vows. Completely worth the drive. Its the shop from the show I found the Gown.)

For a DJ, I cannot recommend Rick Bellanti, owner of Bell-Aire Music enough. He has been an absolute joy to work with and I think he's going to be awesome at our wedding NEXT FRIDAY! We are using Vinwood Caterers for our caterer and they have been beyond amazing to work with, their prices are reasonable, and their food is incredible. We've worked with 2 photographers. Our friend Rick who owns Anchor Imagery did our engagement photos and they were gorgeous, and our wedding photographer is Janisel Rosenthal. All of my interactions with her so far have been phenomenal. Best of luck in your planning!

When you say "budget options" do you have a particular range in mind or are you still in the planning stages? I find it's best to be specific because one person's "budget" might be someone else's idea of extravagant.

I am looking for images and/or warrants describing British Light Infantry uniform and kit from just pre-war, the years 1772-75. While Light Infantry was re-introduced...
Don H. replied:
A regiment in England, shortly after the formation of the companies, apparently following the 1771 recommendations of the Board of General Officers: On Wednesday morning, at nine o’clock, passed in review before his Majesty, in Hyde-park, on their march to Chatham, his royal regiment of Welch Fuzileers, commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Boscawen. His Majesty was pleased to ride with them until they passed through Storey’s-gate. They made a fine appearance, and were complete, not an officer nor a man being absent. The officers and men (the company of light infantry excepted, and who wear leather caps) all wear black furred grenadier caps, which have a fine effect, and make them look very formidable; they have a good band of music, which played, and were, as a Welch regiment, attended by that aspiring animal a goat. This is one of the six regiments of British infantry so much distinguished for their gallant behavior at Minden, where their colours, the remains of which they now carry, were shot to pieces. [Kentish Gazette, 18 June 1771]

Agent's ledgers, 43 rd Regiment, as presented in an old JSAHR article: 1773, 26 February: Payment to G. Rodenbostell, for a trumpet and Music for the Light Infantry Company, 6 pounds 13 shillings.
Don H. replied:
Later than you asked for, but maybe useful: Deserter. Corporal John Wilson, of the 10th Foot, Light Company, alias James Reynoldson, claimed as a Deserter from the 69th Foot, made his Escape from the Guard at Stafford, between Nine and Ten at Night, the 10th inst. he is 27 Years old, five Feet seven Inches and a Half high, fair Complexion, light-brown Hair, grey Eyes, and is well made, he was born in Lincoln, by Trade a Sadler or Upholsterer, and had on an old Light Infantry Jacket, a brown Cloth Waistcoat, Leather Breeches, black Stockings and round Hat. Whoever apprehends the said Wilson, alias Reynoldson, and secures him in any of his Majesty’s Prisons, shall receive from the Commanding Officer of the 10th Regiment Foot, or from the Agents, Mess. Cox, Mair and Cox, in Craig’s Court, Charing-Cross, Five Guineas over and above the Allowance by Act of Parliament. [The Daily Advertiser (London), 22 February 1780]
Don H. replied:
Sometimes the terminology is a killer: Deserted from his Majesty’s 32d Regiment of Foot, from Chelmsford, Samuel Tyler, aged 20, five Feet eight Inches and a Half high, brown Hair, Hazle Eyes, bron at Northwalsham in the County of Norfolk, by Trade an Ostler, deserted in his Light Infantry Frock and second Cap; also Robert Morris, aged 24, five Feet eight Inches high, much pitted with the Small-Pox, grey Eyes, brown Hair, a remarkable crooked Finger on his Left Hand, born at Durham, where it is supposed hie is gone, as he was seen on the Road near Cambridge, by Trade a Blacksmith; wient off in his Regimentals, speaks thick, and pretends to have a Furlow for three Months. Whoever will apprehend the above Deserters, and give Notice to John Richardson, Esq. Crown-Court, Westminster, shall receive One Guinea Reward, over and above what is allowed by Act of Parliament. [Daily Advertiser (London), 5 October 1772]
Don H. replied:
Note that these guys aren't wearing the expected red waistcoats: Deserted, from Captain Christopher Blake’s Light Infantry Company, of his Majesty’s 38th Regiment of foot, commanded by the Right Hon. Major General Lord Blayney, Kilkenny, March 5, 1772, Richard Werge, aged 19 years, five feet six inches high, fair complexion, sandy hair, hazzel eyes, born at Hitchen, county of Hertford, by trade a Grocer, inlisted at London, August 29th, 1770; As he has relations at Morpeth and other parts in the county of Northumberland, he is supposed to be there. Walter Carter, aged 21 year, five feet six inches high, fair complexion, fair hair, brown eyes, round-shouldered, born at Cricklate, in the county of Wilts, by trade a labourer, inlisted at Cirencester, Oct. 25, 1770: He is supposed to be along with Richard Werge, as they left the regiment together. They had on when deserted, short regimental jackets, white waistcoats and breeches, the buttons numbered 38, with a crown above, with caps fronted with bears-skin, a black band round the cap with white and red tossels. One guinea reward will be given by the regiment, over and above his Majesty’s proclamation, for each of them apprehended and committed to gaol, by applying to the commanding Officer of the regiment at Kilkenny. And a further reward of a guinea will be given by Lieutenant Manuel, on applying as above. [Newcastle Courant, 4 April 1772; courtesy Alex Good]

The sketch attributed to John Andre ca 1775 of a couple of Light Infantry soldiers dancing with women, Native people and Canadians might be useful. Does anyone have a good image they can share? I confess mine is from a rather grainy old photocopy.
Steve R. replied:
Hello Paul; Details of Light Infantry uniform and accoutrements from America dating just prior to the beginning of the war are indeed rather scarce. This one might be of some interest. Honeyman visited Boston just prior to the outbreak of war and noted some of the British military activities. The book is worthwhile. Dr Robert Honeyman. “March 22... [1775. Boston.] Got up & breakfasted, afterwards intended to have gone to Salem; but first went about 10 o’clock to see the grand guard march off. It was commanded by Brig: Jones. Having walked from thence to the common & finding some regiments at Exercise I was so well entertained that I spent all the forenoon looking at them. Some of the Regiments were extremely expert at their Exercise, & the manouvres & manner of fighting of the light infantry was exceedingly curious. Every regiment here has a company of light infantry, young active fellows; & they are trained in the regular manner, & likewise in a peculiar discipline of irregular & Bush fighting; they run out in parties on the wings of the regiment where they keep up a constant & irregular fire; they secure their retreat; & defend their front while they are forming; in one part of their Exercise they ly on their backs & charge their pieces & fire lying on their bellies. They have powder horns & no cartouch boxes. - p. 43-44. Honyman, Robert; “Colonial Panorama 1775. Dr. Robert Honyman’s Journal for March and April.” Padelford, Philip, ed. Books for Libraries Press, Freeport, NY, 1939, 1971.

A couple things to consider (if you haven't already): Many RTTs only bolt up to aftermarket racks, OEM crossbars many not have the capacity to have an RTT mounted to them. I don't know many Subaru specific brands, but among Land Cruiser owners, Gamviti, FrontRunner, and a few others are very popular. Also, if you really want to ball-out, James Baroud makes some pretty incredible hard shell RTTs that are a lot easier to set up than a traditional soft-shell tent. They are also substantially quieter on the highway if you're looking to keep things quiet. Will also agree that anything by ARB is top notch but pricey.
