Dr. Wayne Bowman, UT Southwestern Ophthalmology Clinic...great physician, would give you the best care and advice on Lasik procedures. He removed a cataract on my right eye...great results...no problems.

Lasik is amazing!!! I had mine done at Dr Leiman in Nacogdoches, TX! It has been life changing for me!

Dr Booth
Joanne C. replied:
Melissa, I used to work for a lasik surgery center, and I saw so many bad results and complications that I to leave. Most people do have a good result, but there ARE complications. You only have one set up eyes, and if they can't PROMISE no complica tions, are you willing to risk it? Please do some research, this site is a good place to start...honest testimonials from those who did NOT have a good result: http://www.lasikcomplications.com/letters.htm
Blanca D. replied:
Stay away from Dr. Boothe!!
Lisa F. replied:
Trust me on this....I have been in ophthalmology over 30 years as a surgical assistant. The best in Dallas is Wayne Bowman MD or Henry Gelender MD which both are cornea specialist. If you want best of the best it's Doug Koch MD in Houston. Definitely not BOOTHE or any of the ones that advertise on radio and tv. I am not employed by anyone I mentioned either. My Dr has never done refractive procedures for many reasons but always refers to the 3 I listed. We never saw any iss ues after sending them there and I can't say that for many of those listed on this post
Kris M. replied:
Kleiman/Evangelista Lasiksurgery.com They have 2 locations....Plano & Arlington The staff is awesome!!
Leanna P. replied:
Dr Lyons in Southlake at Clearview laser center- they did my lasik 3 yrs ago haven't had a single problem. Truly a great office... Very organized and officiant.
Candace Y. replied:
My hubby had it in Nacogdoches, TX at Lehmann Eye Center! We don't even live in Nac but heard such wonderful things about Dr Lehmann that we went there! He is about 2 years out from his surgery and is SO SO glad he did it!
Celina A. replied:
Www.corneatexas.com I just had my procedure done yesterday with Dr. Brad Bowman, and I can't speak highly enough of him and my experience with the entire staff!! I'm one day post-op, and I feel great and see even better! Definitely let them know I referred you/him!!
Stefanie L. replied:
*****Clearview Eyecare and Laser in Southlake*** I scheduled 1 st consults with several doctors... Let's just say- Clearview really took the time and effort to make everyone feel comfortable! High tech machines with out the extra cost... All the other p laces- cattle call just like previous post- Clearview doesn't have the hype of all the Athletes ... My eye doctor (Dr. Fleming) referred me to Clearview. They go off of referrals instead of major advertisement and this to me speaks volumes. I recommend scheduling 1 st consults with yr top 3 and see for yourself! It's worth it- you only have 1 pair of eyes! Good luck to your hubby with his search!

Dr. Smith at Lasikplus in Plano off Park and the Tollway. He used to treat Air Force pilots. He was very good and not a huge office herding people through. Excellent doctor.

Key Whitman here, they were awesome!
Aubrey S. replied:
Ah don't go to Dr Boothe! He is quantity over quality. I work at an optometrist office. We refer to Cornea Associates in Dallas. Dr Beebe is amazing.
Becca E. replied:
I went to Dr. Boothe. He is very good at what he does, but he's not overly friendly.
Megan T. replied:
Dr. Smith at Lasik Plus in Plano. He's the best!
Jana W. replied:
My daughter, Leslie, used Cornea Associates of Texas in Dallas. Her optometrist with whom we have a long time relationship highly recommended them and did not recommend some of the more easily recognizable names simply because they are less personalized. Leslie was extremely nearsighted and she has been very happy with the result.
Jennifer M. replied:
Dr Walter Beebe with Cornea Associates of Texas. He's amazing.
Tara C. replied:
Dr. Booth
Amy C. replied:
Klieman Evangelista. My niece works there and I have heard great things about them from those who have used them. I think they are in Plano/Allen area.

I had my Lasik done January 2010, and it was by far, one of my best decisions EVER! Clearview Eye Center in Southlake (right off 114) Dr. Ryne did all my pre-op and then surgery day Dr. Ryne and Dr. Lyons tag team. One does part, one does the other. I arrived at 8:15 and was home before 9:30 and after a nap, I woke at noon and still have better than 20/20 vision. It is great and I would highly recommend it.

Holly D. replied:
After much research of the procedure & researching the top doctors in the Dallas area, I had mine done way back in 1999 with Dr Whitman (Key Whitman). Best decision I ever made and I still have 20/20 vision in both eyes!!
Frank B. replied:
I had Dr. Snook take care of my cataracts and inserted lenses. Great guy!
My son was recently injured in the eye and I'm looking for a top eye surgeon/specialist in DFW area. If you have one I would appreciate the info. Thanks!

Dr. Gilliland - Baylor

^^ I went to school with Dr Grant Gilliland and he's a brilliant doctor..
Sadie B. replied:
When I was younger, I had a tumor on my optic nerve, and Dr. Dale Swift was my neurosurgeon, and Dr. Owen (can't remember his first name) was my neurologist. If you need referrals for care beyond the eye itself, I can't recommend them enough. I was blind in my left eye, but now I see. They were fantastic.
Considering getting LASIK. Does ANYBODY have any suggestions on a good doctor? Nobody say Dr. Boothe. I'm not down to go through a cattle call.
Brandon I. replied:
Ask my mom at First Eye Care... Don't know who they use though???
Morgan G. replied:
I know a girl that works at the Cornea Associates of Texas, off Forest & 75 I believe. She got her LASIK there and hasn't had any problems. My dad just got his done there, too.
Considering LASIK surgery and was hoping I could get some input from those who have had the procedure done or know someone who has had it done. Any feedback or places...
Matthew B. replied:
Michael, do it! An extremely great decision. However, do NOT go to Dr. Boothe. He left me legally blind for 6 weeks until my eyes were healed enough to have the procedure done again.
Eye doctor recommendation in the uptown and downtown DALLAS, TX?
Ok, lasik has worn off and I can’t see that I’m wearing too much makeup and I can’t read small...
John H. replied:
Yeah I had LASIK in 2006 and mine is fine but they did say one say I'd need reading glasses. I used Carter Eye Center, they're close by.
