We went to Leather Sofa Company about 6 years ago. They were very knowledgeable and can help you choose between the different grades of leather. But even a thick leather could get kittied. Get multiple cat scratching posts around the house.

Have you tried the Leather Sofa Company in Lewisville? The showroom on Main is the Outlet store, and they build the furniture in the back. I don't know a bunch about the type of leather they use, but the employees seemed knowledgeable when I browsed there.
My daughter is interested in getting a loft bed like college students have. Checked out some local furniture stores but most are made out of metal and cheap looking. ...

We have one from Rooms to Go and one from IKEA. The IKEA bed is probably 6 years old and has been through one move and it's still great for my 10 year old. The Rooms to Go bed is metal with a desk and my husband isn't as impressed with the quality but he is pretty picky. Pottery Barn is very $$$$. I think Stacy's Furniture has really pricey ones too, but the quality is probably better than ours.
