Ask Tina Walters to ask Dr. G (she'll know who I mean) for a recommendation. It would be a Parkview doc if that makes a difference.

Looking for recommendations for an Ortho doc for my 5yo daughter who has fairly inturned legs/feet - as I understand it, there are no pediatric orthopedic docs in Fort...
Amber D. replied:
We have a doc who is coming up to FW from St. V's every month or so (sometimes more), Dr. Willhite (sp?) I can get some info for you when I go to work on Friday.:)
Melissa W. replied:
When we needed an ortho doc, we went down to Riley Children's Hospital to Dr. Randal Loder. He is wonderful.

Lyndsey G. replied:
Yes, unfortunately there are no pediatric orthos here anymore. We have two clubfoot boys and used to see Dr. Cummiskey. Unfortunately after he passed no one has replaced him. We took our younger son to St. Vincent to see Dr. Kayes. He just left last year but told us others in his office (Dr. Bellflower, Dr. Didelot, and Dr. Wilhite are the ones I can think of offhand) were all very good. I spoke with Dr. Cummiskey's nurse before choosing St. Vincent (we were also considering Riley) and she advised St. V's because of the very mixed results they saw coming back from Riley. Since then I've had other professionals (doctors, orthotists, PTs) also say they can't confidently recommend Riley because they don't see consistent results. We now travel to St. Louis to an expert out there. He is available via email if you want to send pics/videos to get his input (you don't have to be his patient). I'm happy to give you his info.
Erica W. replied:
We see Dr Bellflower at St V Peyton Manning and adore him! Definitely recommend him or anyone else in his practice!
Andrea P. replied:
If you're having to drive as far as Indy for a doctor, you might also look into C.S. Mott children's hospital in Ann Harbor, MI. Same distance as Riley/Indy but is ranked one of the highest in the country. (I didn't look up ortho. So, do your own research) We just went there for a different condition and have never been so impressed with a hospital/doctor in my life.
Amber L. replied:
I'd recommend Cincinnati Children's. Just 3 hours away and it's the 4th best children's hospital in the country for orthopedics. They just built a north campus right off I-75 in West Chester so it's an easy drive from Fort Wayne.

I also see Dr Snyder at FWO, if he can not help you he is great at referring you to someone who can.
Natalie N. replied:
Dr. Cooper at FWO is incredible. He did my knee surgery several years ago.
Lauren D. replied:
I like Dr. Gemlick at ONE. He had great bedside manner and wasn't quick to jump to suggesting surgery when I had a mystery ailment.
Kelly W. replied:
May I suggest physical therapy? Nicole Bobay at Healthy expectations. She knows her stuff.
I was scheduled for a total knee replacement but my Orthopedic Surgeon broke his arm. I am looking for pain relief, and suggestions would be appreciated.
